I personally disagree with changing managers before the end of the season because they new one doesn't have enough time to settle in. Having said that it's been shown that an injection of a fresh approach to the game can have a positive impact on the side. What has sparked Portsmouth's mini revival? There are other examples from seasons before but I don't want to stray. I've always advocated that a manager should be given a fair amount of time to attain success, and I am especially critical when a manager gets to dictate the amount of time given.
You and I may not visibly see any other manager capable of spurring a revival but then again, you and I and the other posters here aren't the best informed. Aside from plagiarising magazines, onlines sites and possibly even books, where do we get our references from? It isn't as though we chart the career progression of each manager hoping to un-earth the next great manager. Right now only the big names are echoing in our heads.
To rebutt your first point though, I don't see why we can't make comparisons with the other sides who are almost similar with us in terms of points. I mean aren't we saying we have a low budget etc in comparison with the big clubs? Everything is relative. You can't only make comparisons when it suits your argument.
well, i donwan to do the math on how much we lost getting a new manager or how much we lost if we failed to get to 4th place at the end of season or how much we lost if we sack rafa now or later..the thing is, when i see the team perform week in week out its just hard to believe that it was liverpool the one who playing, its totally shame to watch n frustrating at times to see the team performs..if real madrid can set or set on how the team standard should play week in week out for the sake of their fans and standard why cant we do the same?, its seem that rafa being ignorance at times although he notice what goin on or wrong or even what's the problem r, he seems to be too cool for what we being through right now, either he just wait for gerrard to hit top gear or he just simply ran out of idea, this all clearly shows that its because lack of pressure from the fan or the board..if he coaching madrid now n perform like this kind of level, he's long time ago looking for a new job...i can goin on n on about liverpool problems n i bet we goin to be on the same page
getting a new manager its not easy especially with current financial problem n with the owner financial prob as well, im not surprise to see rafa in charge for a bit longer, but if its risk that should be consider, ill take it n sack rafa for the sake of the club prestige's n future, there's not many world class manager available right now but if u looking for a winner mentality, manager that can come in with different philosophy n idea that can turn our poor run of form to good winning way again, well there only 1 man for that n im talking about hiddink
