Hi all.. Need help with the unlocking of the X2 550BE to X4 B50. The Specs are:

AMD Phenom II X2 550BE
2GB Kingston DDR3 1333 Value Rams
Gigabye GA-MA790FXT-UD5P
ATI Radeon 5770 1gb

I have tried to unlock it to X4 B50 and it was a success when i see it boot at the bootup screen but the problem is my Vista installation has problems. Cannot install. If I use an existing installation using the X2 550BE setup, it will not load windows when i converted the proc to X4. Anyone can help with the BIOS settings to unlock this proc with no problems ?

yes...changing it to acc... All Cores.. Hybrid EC will change the proc to X4 B50 and the Normal EC will maintain it to X2 550

No what i meant is that when u turn on hybrid mode, instead of using the default -2% for the ACC, have u tried any value other than that? Like -4% etc..??
Some unlocks need different value to be stable.. hmm.gif

i dont get it.. tongue.gif.. Sorry,

its ur installation of windows vista have problem or ur chip got problem?

Make sure ur windows running fine first before go for overclock or unlock.

if ur windows is running fine, then unlock the chip all setting at default accept the ACC funtion.
if no boot - quickly refer to ah_khoo tongue.gif..

if it was me...
set vcore to 1.30v -1.38v (monitor the temp). if no boot, start to play with 3 core, most probably u dont have all 4 healthy core. (to do this refer to bro ah_koo post & cloudwan post).
if no go... buy my mobo tongue.gif....

btw, mind to let us know what is ur cpu temp when running on 550be?
