Well, first of all guys, this Nexus One is called "Google Phone" and is personally tailored by Google with HTC. It is codenamed "MahiMahi" and is undergoing its final testing. This will be the first EVER phone to come with an unlocked ROM by the provider itself. Its one of the biggest bash coming up to see next domination of Google on tech. This phone is going to be iPhone killer, runs on SnapDragon, has very fast speed - and is my next phone

just go read gizmodo and engadget. everything about it is in those sites, facts and rumors complete. this thing is making quite a drama since the weekend. we didnt even know if it is really 'the' google phone. the one thing for sure is it is just another dev phone similar to the htc dream. but nonetheless it will be released to public soon.

QUOTE The problem is in the model. Android updates seed out through carriers, over the air or with special installers. This is because the updates are their responsibility: once handset manufacturers (and carriers, through handset manufacturers) have built their own version of Android, they've effectively taken it out of the development stream. Updating it is their responsibility, which they have to choose to uphold. Or not! Who cares? The phones are already sold. And there's very little to motivate a carrier or handset manufacturer to update their Android phones, because the consequences tend to fall on Google: If Android fragments, the App Market doesn't work. The public sours. Android starts to suck. This is where the Nexus One comes in. quote taken from the link given on previous post AGREED ... then i could rather choose Nexus One for sure .. my future android device .. its reliable .. i dont think SE x10 or HTC bravo.. could do the update .. so Nexus One is the top of the throne , nexus one is truly android king and thank god that GSM version comes out 1st .. then follow up with CDMA .. dun just read from engadget .. the engadget crew always do short stupid conclusion itself ...
i comes back and search tnkgrl blog .. then i found out ... QUOTE I just played with the Google Nexus One for a few minutes, Here’s my report: - It’s extremely thin - It’s much nicer looking in person than in pictures - There’s a 4 GB micro-SD card installed - The battery capacity is 1400 mAh - The screen appears to be OLED (same size/resolution as the Motorola Droid) - 3G works on T-Mobile USA - I can confirm that there’s no 3G on AT&T (EGDE only) - It’s definitely unlocked - It’s super snappy! Faster than the Droid… - There’s no multitouch support in the browser or in Google Maps - There’s no dedicated camera key, but it’s the same camera interface as the Droid - The trackball can be used to focus (like on other HTC devices) - Low-light performance is decent, but the flash is weak - Calls are routed the normal way, not using data (VoIP), and sound fine - The home screen is divided into 5 panes (like the custom interface on the HTC Hero Motorola CLIQ) - It’s using a micro-USB connector for data/power - There are some gold contacts at the bottom edge, for a dock perhaps? - Did I mention it’s fast? Sorry, I was not allowed to take pictures (the one above is from the intertubes). That’s it for now *quote taken by http://tnkgrl.wordpress.com/2009/12/18/exc...s-one-hands-on/ its only default BROWSER and GOOGLE MAPS .. wtfish .. engadget ... could u ppl make conclusion with silly topic .. "Google's Nexus One lacks multitouch" my as* .. don spoil up my KING's pride .. zzz This post has been edited by ~tera~: Dec 19 2009, 08:32 AM |

Nexus One running hardware list
For the more discerning/nitpicking droid nerds here (I mean that in a good way mind you). * Proximity Sensor/Light Sensor: Capella CM3602 per sensors.mahimahi.so in Nexus One ROM Dump. * Accelerometer: BMA150 3-axis Accelerometer per sensors.mahimahi.so in Nexus One ROM Dump. * Magnetic Compass: AK8973 3-axis Magnetic field sensor/AK8973 Orientation sensor per sensors.mahimahi.so in Nexus One ROM Dump. * Wifi Radio / Bluetooth / FM: BCM4329 in lib/modules * In libaudio.so I found “Routing audio to Speakerphone with back mic” reference. * In libaudio.so I found “Stereo FM speaker” also referenced. * Audience A1026 Noise Canceling Chip – No link but here is the A1024 found in libaudio.so * Qualcomm QSD8K Specific hardware libs in lib/hw (QSD8250 Probably) * Adreno 200 Graphics Core with OpenGLES 2.0 – Part of Snapdragon? * Camera Info Vague, found some references to auto focus, flash, white balance and anti-banding in libcamera.so |

seeing that it runs on US T-Mobile.. we should be able to port it over here no probs... USD199 converted to RM is still a bloody cheap phone for the specs and to be sanctioned by GOOGLE
