I notice that most fiat coupe owner (friend has it) send their car to specialist to maintain their car...

Can this italian car be serviced by normal mechanic? I can source parts myself but is the car setup in the way a reliable mechanic can handle?

It's still a car with engines and wiring... unlike rotary or some other types of engine...

if need spare parts U stil hv to go back to specialist, y not just put Ur car to them at 1st place..

thats a good question... i'm now at sarawak, so there's no specialist for this kind of car. Fiat coupe is very reasonable compared to japanese sports car, i can still buy 1 as my second car and afford 2 car loans.

brunei has all sorts of car except for fiat and alfa..

My friend has this beauty. He says normal mechanics keep screwing up his car, so he has settled with the specialist, getting charged a bomb.

I suggest you check this website http://www.italiaauto.net/ for Alfa Romeo & Fiat. There are many Fiat coupe owners there, perhaps you can get some advice.

i tried searching that forum.. it seems that most of them send their cars to specialist centre... i can post or reply in that forum... still pending registration... is a hassle

Added on January 29, 2010, 1:55 pmI'm still looking for a good reason to get a coupe, at least as my weekend car. It's affordable anyway...

Things like wheel alignment and normal servicing (change oil and filter) can be done by normal mechanic right?

Here in Miri, it is near to Brunei, got some tuners and continental car specialist but I'm not sure if the mechanic that can repair a bmw, vw and merc... capable of repairing/ troubleshooting a fiat coupe?

Need advice from west malaysia that send their coupe outside torino and fiat specialist but to some other continental car specialist shop...
