I will suggest for you to go shop around first to get some idea of what you like then narrow down to the few you like best then can post some questions here for opinion. That way is easier for recommendation from the sifus around here.

I meant on tht post tht i will go out and scout it OUT... after reading the postings, am goin to go with either the LCD Samsung 40inch or the Panasonic Plasma 42... the dilemma now is tht i have abt 6ft viewing space between the TV and the couch..

One of the guy at the shop told me if i have abt 6ft of viewing space i should get a LCD 37" or Plasma 42", taking the 40" LCD is abit risky due to its brightness? Is tht true?

Was goin through the specs for the Samsung LA40B530 and thre is no s-video with it.... correct me if i saw it wrongly.. Cos right now am using the S-Video for the astro...

Thking you for uer kind advises...

i would recommend LCD TV

maybe you can look for samsung LA30A650A1R, it's an old model and only 30", i think is half a year ago, samsung 6 series are come with S-video composite, component and HDMI, it also got VGA port for PC smile.gif

40" for 6ft would be the best for blu ray and console, but not for astro and TV
