comparing silver coin and silver bar
it is just like buying Mercedez benz and KIA yes, benz is expensive, but the resell value is much higher too. so as the silver coin, you pay a little bit higher because their resell value is higher in future. for rare or limited edition silver coins, there will be demand. Have seen people rushing to get limited edition stuff and then they tell you, "hey, check out my limited edition XXXX"......... |

silver eagle and canadian maple leaf and australia koala will do as investment purpose. because they already legal tender and international hallmark.
I would prefer andean cat, they are only 10,000 in the world ^^. while i bought them with the price same as the common silver coin |

it is because the minting cost and the delivery, when u compare to 1kg silver coins, the premium is much lower.
example the minting cost and the delivery is fix cost of 25usd, it will be additional about 25% for 1 oz silver. 20usd/ 100usd *100% for 1 kg silver, the minting cost and delivery is the same, 25 usd/ 3000usd* 100% |

The price of the silver from auruma is cheaper compared to perth mint itself and other source. (if u compared same silver coin la)
just the fact that they use fedex because it is more secured. In the end, it ends up they have higher cost due to more security for investor. Auruma buying back the silver slightly above spot price as well. Well, sadly they use fedex really costly. If they able to offer self collect, i think they will be great. 299$ is optional anyway, how do u guys define mlm? |

QUOTE(spikyz @ Aug 1 2011, 03:59 PM) agree, if can self collect it will be much cheaper. fedex cost around 15USD is really a turndown. anyway bro, are u auruma member? may i ask, let say they fedex the coins, do we still need to pay 15% tax to custom? no tax from custom. but the fedex able to kill u if you only buy 2 oz monthly. I was the silver investor from auruma. Bought many andean cat silver coins from there. I guess out of 10,000 in the world, i got few on my hand. heheInterestingly, even though many people claim that auruma is a mlm scheme, they still able to sell it lower price than the market. (exclude the fedex). how does scottsdalesilver sound to you guys anyway? |
