I'd check out gainesvillecoins.com, I think you miss out the delivery of USD80 and also I read the posts here, forum members mentioned about the 15% tax, after calculated, it comes to about RM3200. I think is much more expensive and the shipping they stated there is 14 working days!

For me if it's not much difference, I would not want to take the hassle for all this tax stuff. I bought a couple of site from australia and also US in year 2009 until 2011, one of it is from www.kitcosilver.com and 99% of the time caught for the tax. Not to forget you need to do the bank wire which also incur extra charges.

Silver investment in Malaysia is really tough unless you buy bars which is free from tax.

i managed to get the eagles at $2900 from malaysia without going through all the "hassle" and worrying and enjoyed a cup of teh tarik during the transaction.

i'd say it all depends on one's priority and comfort zone

i managed to get 10 pieces of scottsdale 1oz for $1400 here locally. I've check the scottsdale website today at US$392.99 excluding shipping. Looks like not much difference but I get it on the same day (COD),. Yes, it's still up to individual liking of getting the silver.

i bought them when the spot was below $34. now i may not get that price unless the spot comes down again.

for me I think silver is more valuable.  Let see few years down the road, who is right.
it's just too much industrial usage. Unless, all the industry just stop.

i believe when the cr*p starts to happen in the financial world,

you mean the spot silver will shot to US$175 from current US$38++? that's a bold statement. anyways, anything can happen.

who would know that USD300 per oz of gold in 2000,  could fly to USD1580 in 10years period.. how about those spectacle without target or objective and exit in USD1000 per oz.. and now they might regret and sad because they left USD580 profit...! 

in my opinion if you want buy silver in Malaysia you should buy silvers that are easily liquidated into cash.
So far the ready market to cash in on your silver is Public Gold.
Although the spread is quite wide, but they are willing to buy your silver when you want to sell to their dealers.
I am not sure whether they will buy any other form of silver asides from Public Silver bars.
But the market for other form of silver is still very small, perhaps only consist of fellow investors in silver.
For gold its different, cos you can convert any form of gold into cash at certain banks all over the country.

Finally it hits USD40 /oz ...

Don't get too excited now looking at the volatility ... the roller coaster history might repeat again from USD 49 to USD 33 !!

The buying time for physical holder may come latter when the MACD shows positive divergence at the real bottom. The present upside movement is technical correction in a major downward wave.

If the C equals the A leg down we could see 17 bucks peeled off that 39 dollar handle or 22 bucks just above the old 21.30 high.

I agreed with that quote. that why i see potential target at USD 43-45 region which label C leg.
Upwave A>B, C>D completed at USD40, that why i foresee it will correction to USD 35-37. (preferable this week)

current price is RM25

dirham is used as currency to buy goods. totally cannot compare with 1oz silver coin. other reason is related to islam.

buying silver at spot price is not at all easy to do..
it takes a good sort around to find silver bullion with a low premium..

silver coins generally have even higher mark ups than bars and
although they may be good for the numismatic coin enthusiast..

tax, shipping, insurance and storage/operating costs to consider..
these sellers charge a commission for the work they do ....                 
all these add to the costs of buying silver coins  

Unless your into silver for the very long term
it is better to buy locally..
