not many customer want to lease back their silver to me for resale.

Hey guys,

Just want to say that, those dealer who do not have stocks are not unreliable, at least I don't think all of them are. Look, everyone here is looking to buy silver, so they sell whatever they have and order new stocks, it takes a week or 2 for these stocks to arrive, so most likely by next week everyone will see LARGE supplies of silver in malaysia because EVERY dealer order large amount at low price from overseas.

One example, Let's say I'm a big time dealer like 1stopgold, I have 1000 oz in store which I bought at RM 160 per oz, price drop to RM 130 per oz, you think I will not sell? even if I am loosing money per oz, I will still sell, recover the money now from these sales and order from my supplier at RM 120 per oz immediately. Do I loose money? no, in fact if the price goes up, I make even more money.

Those that you find still have stocks are company who :
1) used to sell very high, nobody buy from them so they have lots of stocks left, you when you find them, they are the last one everyone want to buy from
2) They had just ordered from supplier 1 or 2 weeks ago and their new shipment arrive, they still ordered at a higher price but they do have the goods to sell.

So personally I doubt that any dealer who have stocks will hold back from selling their goods, a good businessman will not get their money stuck in goods and wait for the price to go back up which could be 6 months from now, and they will have to start learning how to eat grass. smile.gif

Yeah, there's no limit to the purchase by some of the dealers. I think it's because they just got their shipment, if some dealer here order, wait 2 weeks for minting and delivery we should start getting the 1oz dragon offer by mid october. I believe the source is accurate, deal with him before. Anyway we already in no hurry to buy yet, until everyone is out of stocks. Then we should panic! smile.gif

Gold strongly straying around USD1600.
Silver is at USD 30.08 in the time of this post.
Waiting the news from the US commodities commission to boost up the price.

Hey who says so? I think many people are still looking to buy, maybe if you can list out what you have for sale here, including the price, I'm sure there will be respond.

chef

As for leasing back to you, how it works huh? We pass you the silver, you sell, then you pay us back? or we pass to you, you buy from us and sell when you want?

this is the strategy i am using now. i sell cheap and hope to sell fast. then buy some personal stock, actually, i do not make a loss. but my profit margin is very thin.

thin margin plus high volume can result in huge profits. thumbup.gif
i also just started to be a trader, but some of my costs are abit high during the 40-42/oz region...
if sell now, make a loss liao. need to wait for market to recover.

sell in loss, nvm, but your price must be higher than the average cost of replacement. You have to sell fast and take the money to order from oversea immediately. GoldChan would agree with this, i guess, haha.

Opt 1.
many leasing arrangement can be made, due to location purposes it many be restricted to those who are staying near to each other.
Customer will lease their silver for me, in return I will pay them for example RM1 /oz for each week of lease.
It's difficult to assess how much profit the seller made and difficult to set rules like 30% profit go to the leaser etc. Just lease according to duration is the best.
As a collateral, it can be gold of equal value for each oz lease, or some 10 or 100 oz silver bar. etc.
Once the goods arrived, get back the gold from the customer and return the silver to the customer.

Opt 2.
It can be just buy from the existing customer at slightly higher price pay the customer, and then have a contract with the customer that he committed to buy back the silver at a lower price.

many ways lah. Just make sure that the amount of work is less, and straight forward deal.

well, selling is quite tiring! unless you have a fix shop where people can just come over and collect. COD in 3-4 places a day can be very taxing.
there is a limit to how much one can sell via CoD. Best is make few big deals, and let the reseller sell to others. Otherwise it's simply not scalable.

i order online one from US, not singapore.....i don' order much , few k sing dollar per purchase only. mostly are for own holdings. If i see demand , then i throw my thing out , sell cheap and replace my holdings with lower cost. My profit margin is thin.

If nobody buys, i also won't feel panic, cos my intention is to buy and increase my silver holdings.

No points to seek profit by doing illegal thing. hehe
