@GoldChan : Thought of getting coins
@prophetjul : I prefer silver because it is relatively cheap now. I am going all out to get it below USD40/oz. The rise in silver is also faster than gold. |

My parents don't really trust me cause I am still a student. So what would be the safest and most reliable way so I won't get con? Thanks in advance

QUOTE(chunyen2020 @ Aug 5 2011, 04:15 PM) According to the price graph, it should have. IMO, it's gonna stray at 39-40 for few days and whoosh up up away. True that. Will get silver bullion coins Added on August 5, 2011, 4:17 pm Read from the first page. I'll say get silver bullion coin. Silver has a higher potential of earning than gold. ie, you need to come out with a lot more model to earn more in gold. Get silver bar from public gold if you can. Bars have less premium than coins. For now one 250gram cost about 1.2K, 5:05PM. |

QUOTE(chunyen2020 @ Aug 6 2011, 12:36 AM) Kookaburra as well, but I don't enjoy it that well. =P Yeah, but very expensive laa. Prefer getting silver bullion coins which are legal tender. For me, the kook is more like a numismatic coin. So yeah. I've eagle and maple and pamp suisse. Pamp suisse is a big beauty! |

Hmmm, still considering whether to get all those really expensive.coins that comes with cert and a nice box that cost around 300 to 500 or get all those coins that have limited mintages such as the grizzly or andean cat. Hmmm, which would be better?

Hmmm, it depends whether you have interest in collectibles. For me, I like collectibles which has a mintage of lower than 10,000 and must.be 999 silver. With.this too me it has numismatic value.and also silver.value. If you wanna use just for investment and have no interest in collecting rare coins, then.just get normal silver bullion coins which are legal tenders such as the american silver eagle, maple leaf or philharmonic. Numismatic also has a sell.back price. For an example, 2009 maple snowflake double in price already. So yeah. To me, I like to collect it cause it is rare. To me it is like killing two.birds with one stone

Finally decided to get the 2011 WILDLIFE IN NEED - GIANT PANDA 1OZ SILVER PROOF COIN and a 2010 Andean Cat. Around 300 odd left to spend, anything else that you guys would recommend? Preferably mintages of not more than 10,000
Added on August 7, 2011, 6:28 pmOne more thing, anyone know where to get a coin case? Not airtights but coin cases like this (http://cgi.ebay.com/Lighthouse-Aluminum-Coin-Case-2-Trays-2x2-Flips-/300580166047?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item45fbf9599f#ht_4384wt_698) Anyone?
