I interested to get their service, since 20GB with 1.4mb cost rm99 additional free reg and activiation and 50% discount for 1st and 2nd month. But required 12 months contract if not u had to pay some fees as modem rental. Question is how good this for p22 download. I don't see like 100kb speed, a stable 50kb will do for me.
So if exceed the quota it will cap around 50 - 60kb ? something like 56k speed modem.

If not mistaken, anything going out to the public internet cannot be guaranteed by the ISP, they only can ensure within their network, there are no congestion up to the IP transit level.

The only correct speed measurement method would be a speed test to their local server. Second to that would be a server within Malaysia.

I am in their network. sweat.gif The funny thing is that the speed is usual before it disconnects. I download a few items on that day, and none of them disconnects until this.

i just signed their RM99 package yesterday. tried to DL drama with it. my drama only runs around 30kb/s around 9-11pm. so i went to sleep. To my surprise, all my DL is complete this morning (9am) when i woke up. I am DLing around 2-3GB drama. but 1 thing the data cap thing is definitely not enough. i used 4gb in a day. but they say it will be reset every 28th of the month. so i don't care since its already 21st today.

4GB is very little ald. Last time, if i update my windows already about 500mb+. Now, i found a bunch of offline installers to save my bandwidth. drool.gif

You better enjoy your quota for these few days lo. icon_rolleyes.gif

Indeed. Still i am not planning to continue the monthly commitment with my current plan. I rather use the Digi Prepaid Internet Limited Edition.

Yup, quite true. The terrorizing experience of slow internet still haunts me back today. I also have UBB to act as backup.

Streamyx is always the best choice smile.gif

I wanted to subscribe the Unifi. But they want the new users to sign up for 2 years package. I pass on getting the Unifi.

The latest P1 packages does not require users to bond with P1 for a period of time right?

Not sure about that, didn't bother to update myself especially since I already plan for my exit. Unifi for 2 years? Well it's a wired connection at least, so it wouldn't be much of a problem.

Me too. Unless they are coming up with some other ways like allowing the users with old modem to use P1 Wimax by credit or allow the old user to change to new modem and use P1 Wimax service by prepaid, I am out from their customer list.

The fact is after 2 years, P1 coverage is still very spotty, hence a lot of people will fall prey of bad experience if sitting in the edge of the coverage. Despite getting green light signal, it is not guaranteed a good downlink speed because the uplink speed could be sucks, if uplink sucks, it will cause the download to suck as well because more retransmission. That's why beware if you are at cell edge of coverage map, the sales people will tell you it's okay but ... don't fall into the trap.

This is from my personal experience.

I'm a happy user because I know their trick and don't fall prey before confirming i'm really in the coverage.

+1.

I used to be around the edge area of the coverage for quite sometime. The performance is quite volatile.

Now, i have moved to the green zone. drool.gif There are improvement, but i opt to exit once the contract expires.

If you are the heavy download user just don't even think about P1....if not you will regret for the remaining contract period. hmm.gif

For mobile broadband, P1 is the best choice for heavy users, cheapest and offering the highest FUP quota.
Not everyone can enjoy StreamyX fixed broadband.

P1 is super SLOW!!! I had it for like abt 8 mths & since I complaint like every other week, I finally terminated them w/o paying penalty at all!!!! During that time I onli paid like abt 4 mths subscription. When I returned da modem in PJ offce, da CS just apologise for da constant disconnecting & my patience.

It is normal to have such an upload speed with the P1.
