I was quoted rm2199 and free external Toshiba dvd drive for the T110..
Quite dilemma choosing between this and the HP dv2-1203..
The interesting part is t110 comes with 3gb ddr3!

Just to ask about those extended warranty by harvey norman, it's directly to toshiba or harvey norman?
HN Sunway says Toshiba and HN,
HN Ikano says only HN.
totally clueless

Wah, congratulations bro on your new laptop!
Have you tried it out? How was it?  drool.gif
I've always like the T110 and T130's design  icon_rolleyes.gif
Do let us know how you feel about the laptop, pros and cons if you are free. It would be good to share some personal experiences with potential Toshiba buyers! hehe~
Grats again!!  icon_rolleyes.gif
I'm sure Toshiba will serve you well ^^

Wow! Where did you find these specs for the Satellite Pro L510?
I've seen one before but I din't know it offers such good specs for that amount of money hehe  laugh.gif
If all the specifications are correct, then its worth it, for a Toshiba unit that is, there are probably other laptops with equal or better specs for the same price i.e. Acer, DELL, ASUS etc.

The Satellite L510 with T6600 2.2ghz, 4GB DDR3, 320GB, ATI HD5470 costs RM 2,699 ar (including 2nd and 3rd year local warranty)  rclxub.gif
Have you personally seen this laptop? Are there shops selling with this kind of specs? I've seen 1 or 2, but not sure the specs are as stated above or not  rclxub.gif
The whole laptop is made from matte surface, so it won't be glossy at all and thus, it won't collect fingerprints  laugh.gif

Not a bad choice if Toshiba is the brand you desire ^^
*
The Pros at first glance is lightweight, solid feel, and thin for me, abd it comes with a Toshiba external DVD drive.
The cons is the finger prints because of the glossy finishing, but i'm ok with that.
But weird thing is it does not come with Toshiba carryig case, few shop i ask also the same thing, come with aftermarket backpack the most..
I'm getting a cooler master, any model to recommend? blush.gif

The ASUS HDD got casing ar?  shocking.gif

No la, need to buy casing and they'll do it for me.. biggrin.gif
Hopefully Toshiba won't let me down..
The shop told me waranty is handled by tele dynamics.. rclxms.gif

I've introduced 3 Toshiba L510 laptops for my friends, good to say that so far no problems  nod.gif
However do take note that how you use your laptop will affect its performances. For instance, if you do not provide sufficient aeration/ cooling for your laptop during intense gaming, hardwares may burn. This is applicable to all brands of laptops, especially gaming ones. Apart from physical stress, heat is the main enemy of laptops  icon_rolleyes.gif

Which L510 model are you interested in? There are some models which offer free 2nd, 3rd year warranty as well as free RAM upgrades  laugh.gif
*
Ya, overheating cause my ASus's graphic card to burn, and another thick cable inside also burn which causes my screen to go colorful.. blink.gif
Although i have one rm10 cooler under my asus.

That's why now surveying Cooler Master for m y new T110.. biggrin.gif

just got my t110, currently updating it on windows update and..
haven charge my battery and now connecting to home wifi, already 3 hours and still 50 % battery life.
Very solid and light feel, love it very much, bright display..

Fingerprints are very obvious but i can live with it, but the it's quite hot on the bottom left portion, really need a cooling fan..

Speed of it is quite responsive but definitely slower den my core 2 duo Asus.
Transfering data from external HDD also quite fast.

So far for now, now still exploring it's bulit in softwares..

Cheers~~

Haven get a nice cooler pad,
From toshiba pc health check, the fan is at 0%.. means not moving at all..
The cpu temperature is at 47% and the fan 0%..
BUt sometimes restarting the notebook the fans run at max speed, and brings out lots of heat and cools down quite fast.. Wonder why, to save energy?

Added on April 17, 2010, 6:12 pmoen more thing, i've checked the energy power plan, It says fan runs at max speed when temp rises.. Might be the Toshiba eco thingy working.. Blur

PC fair is crowded with people, T110 sold out but the price are the same.. Lucky^^

The heat at the notebook is on the left portion.. But still acceptable to me..

Added on April 17, 2010, 9:58 pmLatest update, the fan only starts when the heat is over 50 percent, now burning the backup dvd.. that's why can monitor the fan speed.

Hi,
I was torn among few 11.6' notebook models for past few weeks. namingly Acer 1810TZ, Lenovo U150, Dell 11z & HP dm1. But the Toshiba T110 was never in my radar because it is a SU2700 single core cpu. I am quite confirm to go with 1810TZ until yesterday...

Yesterday I went window shopping at Harvey Norman Ikano. The Toshiba T110 on display caught my attention. After played with it & looked top, down, left, right & center for a while & I decided to give it a try & I hope it will be a right choice.

I paid RM2199 for the T110 & RM180 for added external DVDRW. The sales manager given me special discount on DVDRW under purchase with purchase scheme. The best part was all the expenses put into 12 months 0% easi-payment.

Really feel regreted not purchase during PC Fair 2 weeks ago. That time the external DVDRW was given free.
*
Purchase with purchase for the dvd writer?
I get it for free with my t110.. i saw some shops still giving the free external dvdrw.

What color u get? biggrin.gif

I've successfully registered my extended warranty with teledynamics through Online.. Simple and Easy

I bought the T110 Intel SU2700 cpu not the i3. Toshiba bundled applications are very GOOD & user friendly!!!
*
Those apps initially syok to use.. Now i never bother to use them at all..
To me la..
What free gifts they give for your notebook, Evernew Sunway Pyramid gave me a backpack, and a notebook sleeve only.. blink.gif
BUt they help me make my KO Asus's HDD into external HDD la..
I think harvey norman will give more gifts..

Indeed some shops still offer free DVDRW.  vmad.gif  I bought the black colour model. Done the online registration on 2nd day.  thumbup.gif HN given me a Toshiba slim bag plus 7 standard gifts such as mouse, CD cleaner, colling pad, cable lock, keyboard protector, USB hub & headset. biggrin.gif

Now trying out the recovery media that written into a 16GB thumb drive. Wanted to create primary partitions C & D.
*
I did my recovery media on dvd, uses up to 4 dvd.. blink.gif
I went to HN Sunway, they say those who give free dvd is the old t110, with the old motherboard chip.. hmm.gif

Yo bro, I was just wondering, how are you getting on with your notebook's keyboard?  laugh.gif
Can type as fast and smoothly as the older laptops?
I may need a small sub-notebook for mobility and most importantly, fast- typing. It seems I prefer the old notebook keyboard buttons more haha  rclxub.gif

Thanks 1st for your comments!

Added on May 6, 2010, 11:13 pmYo! All Qosmio F60 users... driver updates for the NVIDIA GT330M is available at the Toshiba website already~
Can you guys please try out whether you could update or not? The files I downloaded claims that they only recognize Windwos 7 64-bit  rclxub.gif
Your help will be very much appreciated, arigato  notworthy.gif
