Thank you for your registration! Your registration has been accepted.
Please come back again in 2 business days to verify the registration status.
And then, while i am trying to check for the warranty period, i just managed to check it through here:

http://pc.toshiba-asia.com/includes/suppor...antylookup.html

when i enter my model and series number, it appears as:

QUOTE
Model Name: L640/L645          Product Category: Portable
Toshiba Model-Part No: PSK0GL-006005 Model Family: SATELLITE

Purchase Date: Sep 22, 2010 Purchased In: Malaysia
Manufactured In: China Shipping Date: Jul 29, 2010
Sold In: Malaysia

Service Warranty Expiration Date: Sep 21, 2013

Does it mean my warranty expiration date is 3 years for sure?

for checking the the warranty duration, does it mean we have to enter our unique model and series number then only be able to know our warranty period in black and white?

which bring to another wonder: the series number is the one that differ for each buyers and allow us buyer to check for the warranty duration online just like what i did? hmm.gif

Hi,

I bought a Toshiba Satellite L645 on 22 Sept 2010 at lowyat plaza, I have an international warranty till 21 sept 2013. have registered it at :
http://pc.toshiba-asia.com/support/warranty/

Recently, my Toshiba battery couldn't work, it has spoilt. will it be under warranty to repair the battery?

Shall I send it to toshiba service centre at lowyat plaze or can it be any other branches at penang?

Teledynamics handles servicing of Toshiba laptops, there are two branches currently afaik, one at Shah Alam, the other at LYP top floor nod.gif
The battery should be covered, though you might wanna check with Teledynamics 1st before heading there nod.gif

Thanks for your reply.

However, i have tried to register tele dynamics service pack registration at : http://www.teledynamics.com.my/support/warranty

But it seems to be failed:

QUOTE
Your notebook is not entitled for Service Pack Registration

Sorry, the entered serial number / model number pertaining to your hardware was not entitled for service pack registration, because the standard warranty already registered for 3 years warranty coverage.

Should you required more information about this issue, kindly contact Tele Dynamics.

Thank you.

Is it a must for this registration as a prerequisite for teledynamics for the repair services?

I cannot confirm that the battery is covered in warranty.. best you give them a call and check nod.gif

I have just called them up, and battery is under 1 year warranty only, unfortunately! sad.gif

Asking about the price for purchase of a new battery, it is about RM400 for the genuine !! Dam expensive! =.=

since i will be needing the battery for temporarily period of time while in overseas, should I just purchase the non-genuine one which could maybe last for 2-3months?

I don't know about the price for non genuine one , perhaps, u could enlighten?
