If the problem still persist, then backup all your stuffs and revert to "out-of-box" state, usually that will solve most types of software problems nod.gif
But if its hardware problem then need to send lappy back to hospital le sweat.gif

I'm also using L645-1052X! Just bought it sometime last week...very satisfied, although a chiclet keyboard would have been nicer. Still, the keyboard of this lappie is very comfortable to type with.

Hihi, grats on your purchase!
Well, if there are multimedia keys then you should be able to see them right? haha laugh.gif Unfortunately, the Satellite L635, 645 and 655 doesn't come with multimedia functions as well as feather-touch buttons. I'm not too sure about this but I think the Toshiba Flash Card application actually allows you to customize your own multimedia buttons (by replacing some other buttons, of course sweat.gif).

Its good not having the multimedia keys also since they probably won't function if you change to 64-bit Windows 7 one day...

Anyway, do remember to register your product here: http://pc.toshiba-asia.com/portal/public/u...rentTab=service

and also participate in Toshiba's lucky draw event here (with your laptop): http://www.celebratewithtoshiba.com/

Did you purchased the laptop yourself? You would be able to tell whether got multimedia keys or not before buying what sweat.gif
Anyway, not all Toshiba laptops do not have multimedia keys. The L510, M100, M200, M300, M500, M645, Qosmio etc. all comes with multimedia keys.
What's weird is that the L510 (predecessor of the L635, L645, L655) offers those keys.. Perhaps got problem or something so Toshiba decided not to include them anymore hmm.gif

This model is quite good what as long as you are not into gaming... its good for normal usage. The only cons is the glossiness haha laugh.gif
We don't really use HDMI ports often now do we? hehe

ya, they installed 64-bit win 7 for me, took about 1++ hour, they said if 32-bit, the ram only can support 3GB, 64-bit can support 4 GB ram. I like the eco utility, can save energy, still got many other application to be explored, hehe. They also helped me to register international warranty on the spot, i had also participated the lucky draw.

BTW,i cant find the norton anti-virus software in this laptop, the box got mentioned that launch the norton software and activate it, will get 60 days free trial, but i just cant find it.

Wow, the shop guys are so nice thumbup.gif
When I 1st bought my Qosmio F60, they insisted on loading 32-bit system for me.... in the end I have to convert to 64-bit myself sweat.gif After conversion the feather-touch buttons (multimedia buttons) don't work anymore... Teledynamic guys are stupid and couldn't find a solution for the problem and they were like "Why you change to 64-bits in the 1st place?" LOL sweat.gif
Managed to fixed the problem myself in the end... brows.gif

If I'm not mistaken, the Norton program will pop up during startup... then can activate from there. If not you can try to find it in the Windows panel or via "search". Should have 1 nod.gif

Yeah, that's what they all claimed... sweat.gif
Nowadays Toshiba is one of few brands which actually offers 32-bit systems. All other brands promote 64-bit ones..
I've been using 64-bit Windows 7 for quite some time now... so far haven't met any program incompatibility issues yet. Even the old and outdated bioinformatic programs used in my research can be supported in 64-bit systems (to my amazement haha) laugh.gif
Still, they say some engineering programs may have incompatibility problems.

32-bit Windows 7 loads faster than 64-bit one though based on my experience. laugh.gif

Find the drivers of equivalent Qosmio F60 units from the US brows.gif They don't have BD531 there but others still works because they all support 64-bit systems. All Toshiba laptops there comes with 64-bit OS on purchase laugh.gif
