You can set and save your own settings for the Eco Utility o...
Eco Utility is quite important when running on battery.

Generally,
Setting the display brightness to minimum, disabling the Wifi (If not using), muting the speakers (If not using) and disabling the optical drive (FN + tab) will help make the batteries last longer laugh.gif

My Qosmio F60 can last up to almost 3 hours max with everything set at minimum except for Wifi hehe icon_rolleyes.gif

Well, there's the NB200, NB300 as well as the NB305.
Iirc, only the NB305 netbook is capable of supporting up to DDR3 RAM, even so, only very specific types of DDR3 RAMs can be used, if not the netbook won't start. sweat.gif
Unless you really like the looks of the Toshiba netbooks, perhaps its better to take a look at netbooks from other brands with slightly better performance nod.gif

The next closest Toshiba notebook to a 10.1 inch netbook is the Portege T230/ T210 (older model), 11.6 inch @~RM2300 which is more powerful icon_rolleyes.gif

Well, I've personally used HP minis before (Cool Uni pack 1)... they're not bad, but they're still netbooks nonetheless haha laugh.gif
If I'll ever get a netbook, I think I will buy based on the looks/designs since most of the specs are more or less the same and performance differences are also more or less negligible....

Yeah, apparently you can also extend the warranty too just like Toshiba. You can try Cycom of lowyat plaza, they do sell rather cheap laptops smile.gif
But still it would be good if you can survey from all the big shops (don't try very very small ones haha) then ask for the best price~

Or if you don't mind, you can try garage sales of lowyat.net too, those definitely cheapest haha laugh.gif
