i am one of toshiba laptop user which my laptop model is satellite L645..

nothing problem with my laptop but i just want to know, my laptop wireless using 802.11n wireless which i had difficulties connecting into wireless network that support B/G..

i just want to know that does 802.11n can connect with b/g access points??
*
I checked the http://www.teledynamics.com.my/
the Satellite L645 come with Integrated 802.11bgn wireless.

Added on January 11, 2011, 9:07 pmI found my Qosmio F60 got a few dots that can't be removed by simple cleaning. Dead pixels maybe? I never check about dead pixel before. I consulted Talk-2-Toshiba and maybe need to go Teledynamics to check. They have their warranty limit for dead pixel(2 or more) and struck pixel/colour dots(more than 5). The worse thing is I'm in Alor Setar and the nearest Tele Dynamics service centre is in Penang. That will takes 2 hours car drive + highway toll + bridge toll, and I might not be eligible for the warranty coverage and even if it is covered, I don't have extra laptop with me now. Can it be just dirt in the LCD?

I think you can always ask the shop ppl to help you send your laptop to Teledynamics  (err.. provided you did buy from Alor Setar la) nod.gif
Not very familiar with dead pixels as well...  doh.gif
*
Ya. I called Penang Tele Dynamics. They said can ask the shop that I bought from to send or send it myself. But I bought during pc fair and that shop is from Prai. I think still better I go and check it out myself la.

Try to wait first la, Sandy Bridge processor, Nvidia GT5xxM and Ati Mobility Radeo HD 6xxx laptop coming out le. My suggestion is try to grab one you can afford when it just come out or the new promotion price just started. Don't buy a laptop that within one month the better specs laptop come out or the price drops hundreds within one month. Get what I mean? Either new tech or new offer witch is within bugget. Just my suggestion though.

QUOTE(maxereno @ Jan 16 2011, 08:41 AM)
thanks guys for the fast replys.

@[PF]T.J. : So this L645 isn't that bad (which is something cool) but which is better, the blue one or the colours ? I know that only the processor is diffrent but does it worth to pay the few more hundereds for the blue ?
Also, I am not sure about Acer since most people and forums tell a lot about their not that good quality and such even though the specs are enormous but I had no experience with Acer. I need a lifetime laptop (reliable) and I that Toshiba isn't that bad with making relibable ones.
Asus vs Toshiba : let's say that I want to take the L645-1126, isn't it better since it has better specs and about the same price ?! Or Asus better than Toshiba ? Also why did describe the L645 as ' not bad pick' while you described the Asus as ' very good laptop' ?
Um, which is better 64 or 32 ?

@just_king :  I am not rushing if there is something new coming to the stores but are they going to rock ? Um, how much are they going to cost since my budget is about 2.5 ~ and something ?

Umm, now which is better ? Ati or Nvidia ?
*
You should choose 64bit if you use more than 3 gb of ram (4 or above) unless you got very old software or driver.
I only used nvidia card so can't comment on ati card. However, as far as I can remember, many pc games got show the slogan "Nvidia The Way It's Meant To Be Played", only Supreme Commander 2 show "AMD The Future Is Fusion" (edited).
My Qosmio F60 Nvidia GT 330m graphic card is downclocked by Toshiba, so it is performing less than what it should be (a multimedia/gaming laptop with downclocked graphic card). Better check your L645 first.
You can read "notebookcheck" review for the new specs stuff but I can't comment on the price la.

(I don't think the Qosmio F60's GT330M is downclocked.. I thought only Sony's ones are downclocked hmm.gif
Yeah, its advisable to convert to 64-bits for L645. Since L645s don't have multimedia buttons, there's noneed to worry about the drivers not working haha laugh.gif)

Using GPU-Z, it is lower clock speed than the factory default clock. The benchmark also lower compare to other laptop if not mistaken. Try ask Eguy to confirm.

Can check this too, http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForc...0M.22437.0.html
Can see the core speed and memory speed lower than other laptops with the same graphic card.

What happened to your screen? Dead pixels iirc?
Yup, 640GB (5,400rpm)  nod.gif
*
I think the technician wrote "dust in the screen".
The HDD got <1% bad sector, I think he wrote "bad sector cause intermittently hang".
So just change la.

To, [PF]T.J.

Last time your F60 HDD got obvious HDD sound or not? The one that they claimed normal sound of HDD. I don't remember last time my original HDD got so much noice as compare to now.

Ya. I know the robotic sound but what I mean is the normal HDD sound which we hear in most laptop/netbook but I don't remember it was as much as now. The 3D motion sensor need to be activated or it was there since after system recovery? (now it is not there anymore, maybe need to on it?, or it is not supported by my "new" HDD.

To: RisK.yO

I used to use EVGA_Precision_160_esoftwebid to over-clocked my NV GT330M,
used HWMonitor_115_setup to monitor the temperature and
used 3DMark06_v120_1901 to check the performance increase.
Just be careful that you don't melt/burn your graphic card and chipset.

Everything will be in place after system recovery, apart for the multimedia keys (for my particular F60  sweat.gifnod.gif
You mean the HDD motion sensor's not working after they replaced for you?
Or did you just disabled the pop-up window each time there's agitation?  hmm.gif
*
It never pop-up even when I move my laptop like last time. The multimedia key is working fine for me.

Nope, nothing. Maybe the hardware not supporting it?

It is from Toshiba, I check the physical HDD already. Made in Thailand, other data either not mentioned or just their product codes...

Just got the "Vibration has been detected in the pc. The hard disk drive head is temporary moved to a safe position." notice, maybe I didn't shake it enough just now. Paiseh sweat.gif . I think most probably I also put too much attention to the HDD sound already la. Maybe same as previous HDD.

1.Are you watching via USB 2.0 port, HD resolution movies?
2.The product serial number is at the bottom of your laptop. Something like this: Attached Image
