hi guys...any recommendation for toshiba's laptop?
price around rm3.5k-rm4k
screen size: 16' -17'

But its not worth it as the specs are very outdated and weak... you might want to consider others instead

16'' -17'' not much model with that budget..
There's more model in 15.6''

Err... both are not good as they're very outdated
For that price range, you might want to take a look at HP Dv6 or Asus N55Sf

Installed from retail DVD, from scracth, installed inly chipset and display drivers. No joy. Tried running LiveUbuntu, it said it couldn't find a Live File system so I couldn't test and find out....

ubuntu doesnt work on my L745 also doesnt matter if u use 32 bit or 64 bit both wont work coz ive tried, only linuxmint so far can boot on my L745..

Yeah, there are quite a few L745 users here, but most are not very active haha

:: izzit will increase more perfomance if i use 1 stick 4gb ddr3 in my l645? currently using 2x2gb ram.
plan to combine 2gb + 4gb = 6gb.
