vincemy,
load baring wall means precast RC wall? if so, it'll be quite difficult for us to add additional points later, not to mention the difficulties in renovation |

Went to the site this morning as well. It was rather unusual that the developer has opted for RC wall as fence. Good for us buyers.

QUOTE(0106127 @ May 18 2011, 07:33 PM) its because of lousy execution by developer. for a simple building like this, it should not take more than 24 months to complete it Being a contractor myself, I think 36 months is a reasonable period for construction of this scale. It's 1120 units, in contrast to the usual 300 to 400 units in other developments. |

QUOTE(vincemy @ May 26 2011, 01:35 PM) The walls appear thin due to optical illusion. I actually did measure the thickness of the wall a couple of weeks ago and it is 13 cm (or about 5.1 in) thick. Between brick and mortar wall or reinforced concrete wall of the same thickness, I would prefer the latter anytime for durability. Cheers. vincemy, did u measure the internal partition wall (usually 4.5inch) or the inter-unit fire rated wall (usually 9inch)? If 5.1inch is for firewall, dont u think it's a bit thin? Fire rating might be a pass but soundproof could be a problem. |

QUOTE(aquest @ May 28 2011, 12:17 AM) Really bad news for purchasers. Potential delay to construction |
