i remember reading a review of a casing...it had this feature....but i cant remember the case... dont even remember the brand

wat it had was 2 metal pieces on the case (the rail where u stick ur side panel in) and another 2 more pieces on the side panel itself..

the pieces on the rail were connected to the PSU and the pieces on the side panel were connected on the fan...

so when the side panel closes...these metal pieces would touch and power will be delivered to the fan...

open the side panel and of course power will be cut off.

if i remember wat case it is ill post it up here

Added on December 12, 2009, 1:38 amok...found something with a similar concept...this isnt the case i saw...and the connectors are a lil different...but the same concept applies...

its the Thermaltake Element G casing.

Here is one of the coolest and most novel ideas we have seen in a long time.  The door mounted 230mm fan gets its power thru this fancy contact point module.  No longer will you need to make sure and unplug the door fans before removing the side panel.

if u wanna do this...id recommend to find connectors that are spring loaded or somewhat "springy" in nature to ensure a constant connection.

good idea actually... just that i find the springs a lil too exposed...

mebbe u can cover up the spring but just leave the top part, the part where theres contact, exposed...

actually 3 fans look nice imo, cause mount radiator like that is impossible/very hard since u have to stretch the tubing everything u open ur side panel.. depends what fan u put it..

i'd recommend those bling2 ones.. biggrin.gif

xyah yg performance2 lolz
