Weirdo problem .. anyway can u make basic backup using PC SUITE on ure contacts msgs, settings etc. except user files .. the hard reset ure fone, reinstall everything.I try to do a backup via my phone (Apps-->File Manager--> Backup), but then it prompted: "Unable to perform the operation. Memory Full, plz close some apps n try again". I already checked, there are no apps running on the background. And I already clear my browser cache to free up some memory, but still, the operation failed. Can any sifu's out there willing to guide me? have u cleared temp files? QUOTE(CalvinTeh99 @ Dec 18 2009, 02:11 PM) ure memory card, u can copy it out manually using MASS STORAGE mode.. u knw one thing? FULL BACKUP feature in PC SUITE does not really restores fully, since the installed apps, games and themes dont work Added on December 18, 2009, 3:57 pmJust adding some tips and information for all enthusiasts, the matter was brought to my attention via my Portal by a caring member "nicks" .. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « My explanation .. Memory card or flash memory card is solid-state electronic flash memory data storage device capable of storing digital contents. Most SD cards ship preformatted with the FAT or FAT 32 file system on top of an MBR partition scheme. The ubiquity of this file system allows the card to be accessed on virtually any host device with an SD reader. Also, standard FAT maintenance utilities (e.g. SCANDISK) can be used to repair or retrieve corrupted data SD cards with 4 GB and smaller capacities can be used with many systems by being formatted with FAT16 (4 GB only possible by using 64 kByte clusters, and not widely supported) or FAT32 file system (common for file systems 4 GB and larger). On an SD card, this is unnecessary, as the time required to access any block is the same. Defragmenting an SD card will wear the card out slightly, as the number of writes are limited before failure occurs (usually 100,000 times). In my opinion I dont think you're goind to use the Phone / Card for life long Thanks for the suggestion, I wanted to point this out however, defragmentation does wears the card physically, but the performance wise increases. I like the discussion topic rather than just downloading which most members are doing here. Have fun enjoying the contents in here and feel free to ask questions. Cheers!
