Iphone can do a lot sophisticated thing but can't do the simple things below:

1) Can't set mp3 songs as ringtone.
2) Can't bluetooth files, pictures & mp3 songs to another phone.
3) Can't connect bluetooth to my laptop.

Basically the bluetooth feature is useless.

GPS reception is weaker than Nokia N82 too.


Any comment on my points above?

hmm.. basicly iphone is more on entertaiment la.. ringtone u change ur mp3 to iphone ringtone a.. bluetooth u can go for ibluetooth

bluetooth feature is for wireless earphone and transfer file if u have the software..

iphone is a powerful device.. u just need to go for purchase app in itunes then ok de la.. basicly everything can settle de

1) You can create iPhone ringtone via iTunes, however, only 15secs only =.='''
2)There's a programme under "cydia" em "iBluetooth" i think where you've to purchase it then you can send files via bluetooth.
3) You've to go to thru iTunes i guess.

GPS wise, no idea, nvr get to try it until now...

iBluetooth can't work on firmware 3.1.2 yet, am i right? Checked from forum site.

When i installed and opened it's just blank screen.

and u miss one more thing, you can't export your contacts list to simcard

with all being said.

do you carry a nokia and psp around

Reason being, in iPhone contacts, we have more than a 1000 contacts addresses which the simcard don't have enough memory to store... am I right?

Frankly speaking, Iphone can be the worst phone but is perfect to be an Ipod or personal computer

actually it is not a good phone. sell me yrs

but once u are used to it .

it is irreplaceable .


dont limit (Mp3, BT) your phone.


Look beyond that ............. iPhone..................up and coming......Android

I can easily do Internet Tethering with my 3GS using the Bluetooth and macbook...

1. there is so manys ways you can achieve this....even without JB ..... wiki it!

2. To BT. mp3 .... well that is actually copy write infringement . but if a mp3 file size you can BT, then the quality is out of the window. you wont be listening to it again

Ringtone creation on my very own way:
1) Cut any MP3 into <30secs.
2) Copy into iTunes, convert it into .aac file.
3) Explore your file from the actual location (My Computer - Im not a MAC Guy)
4) Rename .aac extention to .m4r
5) Copy into iTunes again.
6) Sync into your iPhone and u r done!
7) Ok its complex LOL.

1. can become WiFi Hot Spot.. (MyWi)
2. can remote my home pc from anywhere.. (Jaadu)
3. can access LAN folder sharing, and FTP my hosting domain.. (ezShare)
4. can record my freelance job sales/purchase order/goods/service.. (Ring It Up POS)

bluetooth for iPhone sucks. can't transfer pictures or contacts.
no memory card. cannot expand.
no easy way to change battery
battery life sucks.

but hu the hell still nd a memory card when u have 16gb and 32gb internally?

its always nice to have options

Firstly, I wanted to get iPhone first gen but with all the drawbacks then opted for a Nokia E66. It seems missing something then after than Maxis brought in iPhone 3G. Without hesitation I bought it. I have the thought why I buy a phone that so little function compare to my E66 but after JB my iPhone 3G, it open up the door for me to use Mac. Everyday I'll ON my iPhone to play around with but not my E66 even the E66 is my primary phone. My wife got little piss off because E66 was a gift from her.

I have no problems using the iPhone after 2 years and it's an amazing phone for me. If you're not comfortable in using the iPhone, sell it off and get something else. Frankly speaking, we will rant about anything we buy don't we...

Simple solution: Like it, keep using. Don't like it ..sell it.
