got it this afternoon

- the HD channels are really clear and crisp
- toggled between 720p and 1080i. no noticeable difference. prolly my eyes can't tell the difference :S
- the quality for SD channels is same as before
- did not do rewiring. using existing wires
- the decoder works so much faster. eg, the response after punching the channel number, info, etc
- BUT the duration for punching the channel number is so short. similar to last time where people complain about not having enough time to punch in the 3 digits

just recieved call form astro installer. will get my byond 2morro.     

is the installer change the cable from the disc to HD decoder ??

i think this depends on which version of wire u'r using
i heard RG6 thn can use back...but dunno
i hope mine didn't have to change

even their website..

as i know my current decoder do not have number, last time i subscribed from Sen Heng at Kajang, and later on i move the decoder to klang, i think even call them they also don want to come, too far..

i just pm u..please check.

my cable is over 10 years,
i think i should change it..

i applied on the 15th...called back 1 hour later by astro to confirm as well
now waiting installer call

i also feel surprise,
i jz plan to call the number that mansorlow provided,
so called my mother 1st,
in case she has received any call,
but she told me already installed,
just no any digit display on the screen while she press the number on the remote controller..

Astro called me on 14th to answer my questions on the email,
2nd called on 15th and today they delivered the all new decoder to my house,
hehe..

i called my mom just now,
she said the installer just installed the all new decoder,
and also change the cable..

but now she cannot press the channel number,
no picture,
i don know why,
she said will check the user guide later..
