i just registered myself for new Astro account..
They informed that will fix me for a normal decoder 1st and only can request for b.yond after activation....

they will upgrade the existing subscriber to HD decoder then only will process the new users.... sad.gif

how long should i wait for it, Astro having 3million subscriber now....

Sam LA32B460 should not have any issue with HDMI.
yes, i cant get any information about HDMI on their website,
i think it should be HDMI 1.0 if they do not mention any?

Don't expect to watch WC live in HD bcoz HD broadcast will delay 1 hour this is what Astro customer service told me.........
*
Why would they pay all that money and not play it live?

That is completely incorrect
It will be live and that was confirmed at their press release.

Again different opinion:
While its true that CBS is using 1080i, but we are getting ESPN HD, which is 720p.
*
ESPN HD UK uses 1080i, just like Sky HD does. Malaysia is a PAL region, not NTSC like US is. 720p for sport channels are only common in the US, and even that, not all broadcasters uses 720p for sports (example: CBS). In other places outside US, huge majority of sport channels uses 1080i, because that's the best resolution. The link you have is more relevant in NTSC US than other places around the world that uses PAL.

In Malaysia's context, which one will be better? ESPN HD UK (1080i) that has English Premier League matches or ESPN HD US (720p) that mostly have only America-eccentric timeout-laden sports like basketball and American football? I am pretty damn sure that ESPN HD in Astro will have more contents from the former than the latter.

maybe different system...

and i'm using Panasonic TX-32LE8MK LCD TV... bought about June this year... for a really2 expensive price (for me la... cry.gif )... RM1700 somethings..
