Change channel in B.yond need to key-in the actual channel number as compare to old SD decoder, no need to key-in the actual number. For SD, if want to watch 811 (supersport) u only need to key-in 800, the old SD decoder will auto change to the channel the nearer to 800 which is 811. But if key-in 800 in B.yond box, it said "Channel 800 is not avai."
So need to remember all the B.yond channel number rclxub.gif

RM 80 need to pay if you want to keep old decoder. If you give back, then all free.

All Package still available + HD channel which corresponding with u old package.

eg. If you don't subscribe HBO then you will not have HBO HD.

Even you keep the decoder by paid RM80, the installer will take back the smart card also.....
BTW by paid extra RM20, you will enjoy the HD channels that the programs are not the same as the SD channels even both channels are the same.
I refer to SuperSport and 2 documentary channels, not sure about HBO HD.

guys i have a question..

Do we get new smart card too for the astro beyond?

If yes, can we use the new card on the old decoder..?? I have subscribe beyond and now waiting to be installed.. my problem is i always use the same smart card on my parent and my own home...

Since the box now is very small, can just bring the whole box go back. I read somewhere in this thread, this new box can use with old dics.

Here's the dish...

Astro byond dish

Look at the tip of the probe. Highlighted in the blue box, there are 2 cable connectors. Currently only using one. Since sun already up and it's up on the roof, lazy to snap the thing in action - but you get the idea.

Got it....Thanks biggrin.gif

oh another interesting point, b4 fixing up the new dish, he connected the Byond decoder to my old dish and voila! all HD channels visible. this is good news for those in condo right? juz pay 80 and get the Byond decoder fixed up to your centralised dish!! smile.gif

If 1 disc to 1 B.yond decoder is working fine, but you CANNOT share 1 disc with old decoder and B.yond as the polarity not the same, one is vertical and one is horizontal. Thay why Astro give the LNB with 2 connector to those who have 2 decoders in one house.

At last my Astro B.yond was installed today after 14 days of waiting. The installer came at 9 am in the morning. The installation was fast and without any problem. My ASTRO B.yond dish is now connected to my old Astro decoder and my new Astro B.yond decoder as I have 2 decoders sharing the same dish. Everything works fine and I am getting signal strength of 220 for the byond decoder and 80 for the old decoder.

Can take a photo and upload to this thread ?? If you have 2 decoder, then your LNB should have 2 wire out. 1 to old SD decoder and 1 to B.yound decoder.
If not, can you share how your installer split the wire from the dics and connet to 2 decoder....

The installer told me that there is no splitting of the wire connected to the dish. The B.Yond dish has 2 connector ready for connection. He said B.yond is digital so splitting the wire will not work. I'm in the office now, will take some pictures when I get back home.

I believe same as Azri dish, he post his dish photo:
