they just installed b.yond at my house and all 4 hd channels available even thou i only subscribe the rm55 package (without movies and sports).. or.. is it for the promo period until april 2010 only?

anyway, there is a network port behind the box.. so i just plug it in from my router.. is there any use of it?
*
does that mean you get no HD channels after april if you maintain rm55 package AND still must pay rm20 extra.

the rm55 package got NatGeo and History, so, RM20 is for those two after april.. i dun watch sports and HBO movies (renting bluerays better) anyway.. but spending lots of time watching Nat Geo/Discovery/History/Animal planet..

Can you use an unbranded 'ahem' normal old astro remote on the Byond decoder?

I don't like having the new remote to be in the hands of kids given how they love to throw stuff.

just buy the kids a dummy remote la

I've got a mate who works for Astro and they have given a 6months trial of this HD content and he's less than satisfied with the HD channels..barely far better than actual hd videos

i think record and playback is use for b.yond max or something, later to be introduce for sure.

anyway i do think sound bit low because its now in surround (5.1) rather then stereo (2.1) last time. so if use 2.1 speaker or just the TV speaker, so it become a bit low. dunno la, teka2 ony~ still waitin for mine to arrive~ biggrin.gif
