Initially looking to rent in Taman Desa but this is a good alternative. Btw, is there direct access onto Mex highway from/to midfields? Hard to imagine looking at maps.
Midfields by YTL, Anyone know?

Been renting for nearly a month. So far so good, peaceful enviroment, security somewhat good. Underutilizing facilities though..
I don't see any 'community' forum for MF residents.. Any current resident care to share? it'll be good to touch base once in a while especially to air our views on the lack of unifi n astro HD. Btw, any residents out there would want to start futsal / badminton games? |

During the last JMB meeting, was there a discussion to open up grocer shop, launderette, etc ? It'll be quite nice to have for residents.
Was the issue on Unifi and HD service addressed in the meeting as well? |

Wired connection - my guess is no unless this matter has been brought forward to JMB and it is being considered.
Btw, anybody has any news on phase 2 condo? |

My friend (visitor) just got this note when she entered. Apparently now all visitors are only allowed to park their cars inside not more than 12 hours failing which they shall clamp the car. I personally think this is a stupid ruling.
I understand the intention is not to allow visitors to abuse the facility by parking their cars for days/weeks/years. But clamping cars?? Just allow visitors to pay nominal parking fee wouldn't be so bad rather than clamping their cars. What do u think of this ruling? |

If the JMB or the mgmt badly needs money, why don't charge visitors a nominal parking fee after 12 hours of park rather than clamping the car. They (visitors) would need to abide by the same ruling with no questions ask ie park at designated spots, pay parking fee, etc. As it is, cars are not allowed to park outside anymore.
Why make it so inconvenient to both the car owner and management/security guard to open/close clamp. That said, they can better optimise the resources (guards) to do other things if need be. I think JMB should address this asap before it gets worse. |

QUOTE(nadzimruddin @ Jul 5 2013, 09:52 AM) hi Xforged, You encountered the same situation as well recently? I'm pretty sure JMB makes up the residents/owner themselves.u stay at ur own unit or renting? as a owner, u can make a complaint to a chairman of JMB or ask your landlord to make a complaint. They must respond to our voice (residents). |

QUOTE(rawfish @ Jul 5 2013, 10:55 AM) Have taken this discussion via PM. Thanks! My view is that this should be address thoroughly before implementing. Apart from the disrespectful note and poor memo, alternatives which could be put up into consideration; I can understand the intention for the visitor car park bays to not be abused due to overstaying guests or desperate tenants, especially following the clamping of illegally parked vehicles in front of the guard house road. But for the statement of the guards not calling the owner up in this poorly executed memo, is purely disrespectful. Sounds to me that they're telling the owners upfront that no flexibility will be given. 12 hours is too short, imagine family member visiting at 8am and having to leave just after dinner. Since no extensions would be considered, would the guards permit reentry should the visitor just exit and return? That's troublesome and ultimately makes them look like fools. I'll share this with the management when I can, hope other owners can give their feedback too. 1) to charge nominal parking fee for visitors. More than 12 hour time allocation (24 hours?) would be preferred, after which a parking fee could be charged at a rate which is fair. 2) To get the visitors to stipulate or write down how many hours/days are they intending to park/stay (max number of days could be mutually agreed). This should be firm as in should they overstay, there are consequences to it. There's abundance of parking space at the 8th floor anyway for visitors to park. My 2 cents. |

Got it last night. You have to start pre-empting your visitor should they stay over 12 hours. Not to be caught by surprise to see the bloody clamp on the car.

QUOTE(Citydude @ Jan 12 2014, 01:24 PM) I am owner for another condo. The min quota may be a target for TM to bring in its last mile equipment. Unifi may or may not happen regardless if even 500 residents signed up their interest, unless contractual obligation has been executed by both YTL and TM with specific target and timeline to complete installation. Why so high minimum quota for TM Unifi requirement ? My other condo - only require 70 users . Another point - even touching that quota of 200 prospects - how 100% sure there will be installation? Unless a smart working JMB has receive a positive contractual offer to install with 200! It's just figures. I hope if really 200 sign up is the contractual offer to install Unifi . That's one of many reasons why I moving out MF. Is the mgt office hired n control by Tenants Or still under developers mgt staff ? . If tenants hire, they work for tenants 100% n if not performing - tenants will know what to do. It's past 2 years already I think since delivery of block A. I thought tenants usually take over the mgt services n management of the premises n control the P&L Accts . Is there a deadline where MF tenants will run the place themselves n collections expenditure too. The recent installed grey tiles at walkway from lower lift to mail boxes walkways - the grey tiles look low quality types. Is this the best available tiles to put up. The black tiles infront of the lower G floor door glass door look better quality . So obvious . Can't we have such quality for the walkway ? Just my idea to improve quality MF . Till then, nothing much we can do at the moment except register our interest at the office. Not sure whether this has addressed in JMB meeting. Im in dire need of LAN.. for torrent and ps3! |

Can achieve 7-8MB at low floor, block A on a good day. Indeed, limited quota sucks |

QUOTE(aaronnn @ Dec 28 2014, 09:49 PM) hi guys, am putting out a warning to all Midfields residents. I am currently staying in block A2 and I've realized that the shoes that i leave on my outside porch has been stolen. the first time they did it, i thought i misplaced my shoe somewhere, but it happened to me again 4 days ago. My porch area has a grill but i guess they can just reach in with a stick to drag the shoe within reach. I will make a report to the management tomorrow as i've just come back from overseas. Thanks for the heads up. I noticed that visitors normally waiting for the opportunity to enter when people go out. Of course not all have an agenda. Few mischievous ones i noticed but I hope i'm wrong. so my advise to all residents is to keep your shoes inside your units! be safe everyone. Anyway, any feedback from the management? |
