Hi,

Just want to.share dis;  My hse nearly got broken in, last friday around 530pm @ block A2.
I was home alone when suddenly, someone press my door bell non stop.  I ignore it, as Im very sure Im not expecting any guest at that time. Then I heard someone pushing my window at the wash area n I saw a tall chinese guy hanging at the.window area.
Totally shocked n dunno what to do, that guy just jump over n ran away.
I quickly call the guard thru d phone n ONLY 1 guard came. By the time the guard reach, the thieves already left.

I went to the management n requested for cctv footage on Monday as the office is closed on Sat n Sun  doh.gif . Nothing much can be done as d cctv footage was blur. What I can confirm is that the thieves works in a group of 2  n they seem to target during working hours. They even make sure nobody at home by pressing the door bell n make sure nobody answer it before climbing in. The thieves wore smartly n are very professional as they disguise in different clothings before n after their session. They park their car outside n when they enter the main guardhouse area, they did not register themselves.

I wonder what are our security guards doing? What's the point of installing cctv when the quality of d footage blurry? Did you guys know tat our emergency staircase does not have any cctv at all?

Residents, please beware. Do lock all windows n doors at ALL times. I hope MF can beef up their security, before more n more cases crops up.

Sighhhh... I feel really unsafe after this incident  shakehead.gif

I rather not be at home- too shocked n traumatized by dis ordeal.
No grill at the windows as I tot can trust MF security.
Spoken to management staff, even those with grills are not spare either.

You must not be complacent when it comes to security measures. Please get a contractor to do up a strong worthy grill for maximum protection.

When management staff told you "grills are not spare either", are you saying a few of the units there already broken into?

Locking alone will not deter such opportunistic burglar, you need grill to further enhance security (Make sure you install grill that is made of tough materials) Install security alarm if necessary. Take care ya.

Actually it happened before and they did issued a notice to all tenants becareful and make sure you lock all your windows before leaving.
It happened earlier this year someone climb through the windows at the toilet...

Because of that I installed grills for both the yards and all the windows.

Nevertheless the security should be more attentive to strangers coming in and out.
But chances are sometimes due to the renovation works...stranger could slip in and out....

For added security once u install your grills, u can get a padlock with motion sensors. It's available in the market now. Expensive thought 300 - 400 per padlock.
Lock it from the inside and active it...one someone touches your grill..it will go off.
It's damn loud...that eliminates thieves that sometimes saw off part of grill removing the ear with the padlock.
Word of caution : it's damn sensitive and sometimes raining of heavy wind could trigger the alarm.

Good idea, do you have the name of the padlock? Batteries operated?

I know of two really reliable brands for this kind of padlocks....

http://www.kabrus.co.uk/

http://www.kovix-security.com/

There are multiple of models...u can decide which one you prefer from the entire list.

Very expensive for padlocks. U can get it Malaysia already...and yes lithium battery operated, waterproof and all...

the alarms go up to 120db to 190db - security house below also can hear....
120db is almost equivalent to nearby airplane engine sound
190db is like a rocket launching pad

Happy purchasing and stay safe smile.gif
