Hi folks,

Will be moving in to Block B next week. After doing some research on getting the wireless broadband, i realized that there is not much options, have narrowed down choices to:

(1) YTL YES Super postpaid / RM98/mth / 8GB / 24 months contract
http://www.yes.my/v3/personal/plans/postpaid/super-plans.do

(2) Maxis Home Wireless / RM99/mth / 20GB / 12 month contract
http://new.maxis.com.my/content/maxis/en/p...s-internet.html

Just wondering if anyone has any experience on which ISP is better?

In my humble opinion, it would be difficult to convince the owners to terminate the tenancy agreements. Most MF owners are having a tough time trying to rent out their units, and its not easy to find tenants nowadays. Most likely, we need to seek help from CoB...

How many rounds u need to turn to ur car park lot?

Is the car park road friendly using? I mean wide space with easy angle to turn.

Anyone has any update on hostel issue?

Almost every evening, i still see students hanging around the foyer areas.. waiting for residents to come out/going in. Obviously they went outside and dun have access card to go back in..

So angry now... just noticed an underwear dropping on my balcony.. vmad.gif

QUOTE(catherine01 @ Sep 3 2013, 09:41 PM)
Thats a good news at least..thinking to get maxis wireless as
yes quota is very less and expensive. Can I safely subscribe maxis? Hows the speed that u tested? Quite stable?

Just wondering, if we can get rid of them, is that any house rules we can set up like say limiting a maximum of 5-6 people in each unit? I am sure there must be some building rules that limits maximum occupants to prevent overcrowding.. hmm.gif

QUOTE(soonyeh @ Sep 3 2013, 08:41 PM)
This is what mr mohan reply,

I am still working on this together with my Security Manager and looking into way to make life difficult for them.

It is the owners whom are encouraging the students to stay on and not to move out.

We are also coming up with a special house rules for this students (temporary measure)

I also heard from the collage that up to 40 owners are offering their units to this collage.

Just because of our interference the collage decided to KIV first.

Thanks/Mohan

I seriously doubt so.. The last time i have checked with unifi and they said there is no infrastructure in our area.. meaning have to lay underground fibre optics etc.. No point talking to the agents who are selling unifi.. i feel that they dun know much and want you to sign up asap only..

QUOTE(Tijnas17 @ Sep 5 2013, 01:45 AM)
I visited pc fair recently. The unifi ppl said they r going to install in sept??? Don't know if he talking nonsense la?

I totally agreed. Lets not target any particular race and make it a racial issue here... The objective is to make MF a better living environment for all residents.. and stop the "condo->Hostel->Pangsapuri type" conversion.

Can anyone share a sample complaint letter that we can all use and send it to YTL and the management?? icon_question.gif

QUOTE(Prop321 @ Sep 5 2013, 07:35 AM)
I totally agreed with Tijnas17.. This issue is related to units being used as hostel and not about indian or chinese students.

It is common knowledge that many of the YTL's management and staff bought a number of units for their own investment. Therefore, it is to their best interest to continue to push up the prices esp for MF2.

Just wondering that all many units in MF are actually owned by YTL staff? The low occupancy might provide a clue..

I am using YES Zoom 6GB All day RM98. Speed is really fast and 6GB can be used up within 1 week if you are watching videos.

Once quota reached.. it throttles down to snail speed.. sad.gif

Maxis RM158 for 48GB definitely sounds better than YES RM98 for 6GB...

QUOTE(Ganny82 @ Nov 7 2013, 08:33 PM)
I am using the HSDPA Home Wireless Internet that comes along with a 21Mpbs Modem + the dect phone.
RM 158 (postpaid customer) for 48 GB.

Ahh the speed well it's sucky at times and typically quite fast during off-peak. So it really depends on when you are using it. But on normal circumstances it's acceptable for casual surfing...
I am quite sure it would have been faster for the LTE package which is also about the same price as well.

And pls moving forward, there is mo such package as unlimited quota from Maxis. Thy have change their policies and those under unlimited Akita are now capped at 30Gb. You may find more information here :-
