unfortunately they dont.

thats why im lost with all these system files here.

first of all any theme file for example

the theme name is onion

so,you will probably have two file which is onion.theme and onion folder...copy those two into

C:\Windows\Resources\Themes

how bout explorer frame.dll

how to get rid of mycomputer,mydocument,recycle bin in destop? need answer ASAP

you can hide them by right-click on desktop, highlight 'view' and untick show desktop icon.

explorerframe.dll

ok this one a bit tricky.

you need to have take ownership.reg. you can google it or sometime it comes with the theme

one you have intalled that you will have take ownership option in your right click menu under "run as admin"

go to your C:\Windows\System32

find the original explorerframe.dll.. right click take ownership..and then rename it to explorerframebak.dll

finish..now copy that custom explorerframe.dll from your theme and paste it in the same C:\Windows\System32

restart your explorer.exe

you need to learn on applying custom theme
using dock
using rainmeter
and lurk more in deviantart

There are many ways. You can put theme, dock, rainmeter and many more. For them i suggest you go deviantart. By the way im newbie to but i succes customize my desktop. Goodluck!

Is Window XP and Window7 same way to customize? Because when I google it, i just found destop customize in WindowXP

of course its different .... since seven have aero glass effect,you can make use of that in modding

can i ask a stupid question? What should i install b4 installing the rainmeter? I mean do i need to install WindowBlind or another thing else first?

i think u can just install rainmeter simply as install like normal apps,coz i'm also new to this thinggy..

dunno how to make "app button" being new "start menu" in the rainmeter...means create a new app launcher for the start menu since not using normal windows taskbar..any idea >> this the picture for the best understanding

Right Click On Desktop -> Properties -> Desktop -> Customize Desktop... -> Uncheck "My Documents,My Computer -> Click OK

no ,what apps u used,thats the only thing you install..in your case just install rainmeter and use any rainmeter script you like
