G5 next to an M2.

G5 reflector taller than the standard D26.

The G5 came with 2 strobe mode and no memory so pill replaced with a dereelight 3SD.

Thanks to oldnewspaper for this solid but affordable light. thumbup.gif And for Christmas, how about organising a groupbuy for the Thrunite Catapult?

Second Dereelight 1SD R2 to be affected.

Seems it's the silicone that got burnt.

After removing much of the silicone, you could still get a decent beam but only with the OP reflector. Unfortunately, I over-cleaned and damaged the tiny wires. Now it has really bit the dust. cry.gif

Heys, can you share how it happened? Ran too long on max? Put in wrong battery setup?

Maybe it was run too long. Had to work longer past few nights. Been using in the SF 6P.

Anyway, found an old Cree led (from an Ultrafire dropin).

And now, it's fixed.

Lousy soldering but it'll have to do until I get the XP-G drop-in.
