Jetbeam RRT-0 GB Updates

Guys, our RRT-0 already had a confirm shipping out from factory, but now all the freight agencies are fighting for air cargo, we have a ETA of landing on the distributor by end of the week, hopefully. If god bless, then we hope can get it next week.

Please understand that the air cargo part the distributor have no control over it, I am chasing him as hard as your PMs tongue.gif sweat.gif

Once he got it, I make sure he handle our order in high priority, and I shall arrange delivery once I have it. I hope can get by Wednesday next week, or else may miss the Christmas then (Sorry I really cannot control it sad.gif ), but sure can blast it in KD Trail lar.

PS: I also can't wait to get it, many of my orders are also upside down. Have light shipped from HK and US, order shipped around Nov mostly got delayed, but items shipped after end of Nov are fast. I got a parcel arrived from US in just 1 week while OldNewspaper ordered the same item last month still waiting. (Sorry OldNewspaper, use your pain to comfort the RRT-0 G-Buyers here, I know it is painful, I know, believe me. Here is for you, got an item shipped from HK in 5th Nov, arrived yesterday, and I got one item shipped 12th Nov from US still stuck (this one really worried, expensive lar), comforting? biggrin.gif )

PPS: hey, those who got the Neutral White RRT-0, I heard there are not many available, and mostly are special request, our supplier have to request the engineer to change the RRT-0 R2 to Q3-5A for us, please keep a low profile on this issue, I don't want to cause any trouble to our supplier later.

Hi guys,

I just got word that the Lumens Factory P7 head is now under production and I can 'steal' some units from the production batches brows.gif
I will be bringing in the IMR-9 and IMR-9L since these 2 will allow an easier upgrade path to IMR without much modifications. If there are other modules that you will like to have, now it will be a great time to place the order now smile.gif notworthy.gif

Btw, I'm just thinking about this first, no confirmation of buying... yet. For my SP-9 incan powpow upgrade, thinking of getting 1.5 extender + D36 Mini Turbo Head + IMR-13 Module + 1x IMR 18500 (3x total) = 1000 Lumens + est. total 16 mins runtime. hmm.gif Worth it?

Wat can you do with ~15 mins of runtime man... tongue.gif

Its like just for fun...

Imagine hearing this from your non-flashaholic friends "Wat?? Only 15 mins?? My Energizer can last longer. Pay so much for such a short runtime"

At GW2U = http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f=11&t=1241331
I'll probably recommend a 4 AA Charger and 4x AA Eneloop batteries. Ask GW2U for more info smile.gif

I will also recommend using RCR123 (16340 4.2v Li-ION), which is what I'll be using for my RRT-0.

Or then with extender can use 14500 (AA Size).

I think can still drill out the spacer bottom and put in a tiny driver, or easier make it direct drive.

The LF bulb has no hole. The bottom is just like any other bulb, like a drop of solder there. But I know that the bottom must be isolated from the side, to achieve the +ve and -ve.
*
Drill out the spacer, but still need a disc like on the top as collar for the bulb, or else it wont hold it in position.

For LF Bulb, the bottom is filled with something? Need a big hole to put driver if needed, or else direct drive as you said. But the height is not enough I think, the LED need to sit right in the bottom of the reflector to make it throw or in the reflector to make it flood.

A picture can clear all this questions. nod.gif

I think it fix the problem (only low mode) for ppl using primary CR123 that over is over 3.3V, or LifePO4 like me. Not sure yet, will find out.

Correct, it's advertised or printed as 3.7v, but full charge of the battery is 4.2v.

Here's a quote from v2:

QUOTE(RookieDaddy)
Nominal Voltage == Voltage under load/Operating Voltage ~5-10% (+/-). 4.20V is normally refer to the "charge-to" Voltage.

Copied from cpf (Silverfox?), a list of "resting" voltage and approximation of capacity left in cell (Li-Ion):
4.2 volts 100%
4.1 about 90%
4.0 about 80%
3.9 about 60%
3.8 about 40%
3.7 about 20%
3.6 empty for practical purposes
<3.5 = over-discharged

EDIT: It's best to not charge your cell above 4.20V for longer cell life.

Addition explanation to add, a 3.7V lion is the nominal voltage, or running voltage. Meaning when you using it, it will trying to maintain around 3.7V under load, but when the battery is not in use , the voltage is generally higher depends on the charge in the battery, like pseudoblue explained below

4.2 volts 100%
4.1 about 90%
4.0 about 80%
3.9 about 60%
3.8 about 40%
3.7 about 20%
3.6 empty for practical purposes

Mr President, may be I suggest to put a FAQ in the main page?
Like the battery chemistry, voltage.. etc?

For a start, its really confusing sometimes rclxub.gif
Like Lion, LifePO4, etc etc

Oii, don't call me presiden ok tongue.gif Or I'll start collecting taxes user posted image

Anyway, it's a good idea, I'll compile some data here and from external later. There's overloaded info of batteries type and usage online and in CPF sweat.gif And dunno where to begin...

i will b using 14500 li-on for my RRT-0

coz

16340 - 16x34=544
14500 - 14x50=700

bigger li-on battery more power! longer runtime!
