Yes its bright with 18650 rclxms.gif ,  with RCR123 not so much mayb around 300+ lumen, mayb my RCR123 low on juice.

should b better with IMR 123

it will work with AW 18650 - 2600 flat top
coz the tube have a spring but its not secure down
I think even for 300+ for a small light like this is awesome. Managed to drop by GW2U after work and check out the VX Ultra. She ran it with IMR 123, has a very bright flood and it seems that it could throw a distance still. Didn't manage to do much comparisons with other lights, will really want to see this in action at night drool.gif

Hmm i don't have any proper place to take the beam shot. My place now is blinging bright with a spotlight at the field, unlike before it's dark. blush.gif
I will see if my camera can take the beamshots or not, last tried can't really capture it due to the spotlight there. doh.gif

Update: Opps sorry can't take photo cause the camera is at the shop.

EagleTac P100A2. Small, light, cheap, uses 2x AA, and does the job pretty well.

lol, Eagletac always comes to mind for new users. Easy to maintain and easy to operate.

Hi ADVedder,

Agree on EagleTac P100A2. Two modes, loosen (loosen abit only) for general (55 lumens) and tighten for max output (195 lumens). Use 2x AA NiMH Rechargeable is the best. Normal AA alkalines for backup/emergency use. *Choose either tint, Cool white or Warm White.

If you want something more serious, more questions? just let us know. What's your budget at?

Checkout post #2 for local dealer information for EagleTac = http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=30415621

all are welcome ! biggrin.gif

i realized too about the tint on this D-Mini VX Ultra......some are slightly cooler and some are slightly warmer but both also have this greenish tint..... rclxub.gif but i guess this is the inconsistency of the LED itself.... doh.gif even the older LED like X-PE / X-RE also suffer on the inconsistency tint.... hmm.gif

the SST-50 pill i have is towards the warmer side .... sad.gif

all lights manufacturer also facing this issue even surefire is no exception too;

some reading HERE...

thank you all for sharing the pic of this D-Mini VX Ultra thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Is not only the tint problem but the output on my D-Mini is weaker in all 3 modes.
