Sorry this are nett prices, same situation goes for our local proton cars Exora is more expensive than Persona while Exora is 1.5L a lower specs than Persona 1.6L? How come? Because everything comes with a price.

Also you must first understand in order to boost AA batteries to achieve such brightness is not an easy task which requires a freaking good circuit board (probably that where the expensive cost comes in? I guess?). I believe you are aware on the rarity of MC-E flashlight powered by AA, this already shows how hard is the task to power such flashlight with AA batteries. Hence that is why you see most brands of MC-E flashlight are using lithium batteries like TK30, Tiablo ACE, etc. Most likely the same situation applies to our local Proton cars, Exora involves more cost hence the higher in price? Although we have another model which is iTP A6 MC-E using 6xAA price is RM285 (practically half the price of TK40) however this iTP A6 is also pratically half the brightness of TK40 or TK30.
