Or is it a mix? LOL what's going on wit Fenix, how can they sell a different LED in the same product? Can you remember if your LED is XPE or Osram? I may think the XPE has higher output. |

You have one? Considering many things...maglite 1d is already half the price of the host and thats without the battery holder...get elephant 2 A Option without the head..use maglite head and switch... |

Mag 1D is indeed cheaper to mod than buying the Elephant 2. It comes complete instead of the Elephant 2.

It comes complete instead of the Elephant 2. hmm...yes i would agree if basic maglite cut to 1d only, but if made to elephant 2 host spec?Prices for these 1xD's (which include shipping): Any color: $60 domestic, $75 international Extra services: - Internal boring for 4xAA battery adapters is an extra $30 - Body/head grooving: $30 each - Modify stock switch to work with flat cells (an optionally cut tower off) - $15 - Custom Battery Sleeves Delrin/Aluminum - $45 each - Deep tailcap mod with Al plug for 18650 cell - $20 Total = USD 155 W/O battery adapter + Shipping Elephant 2 ( Option A ) A- Short body comes with one tail cap, tail spring, 4x18650 battery holder, o'rings and switch rubber cover. Total = USD 120 + USD 20 ( Shipping ) = USD 140 Not complete but i have a D maglite..i did'nt realize this until i looked closer.I could be missing something. Need to consider..or i can just use it on my existing Maglite 2d and 4 d. This post has been edited by metalmania: Jan 18 2010, 11:52 PM |
