How old are your guinea pigs? I used to have two, but one died due to stroke during a very heavy rain. The surviving pig is now living alone in her cage for a year now... Fat and healty. And very affectionate towards me & my family

I used Bengy's pellets and so far my pigs are okay. But i changed it to another brand already... and my pig prefers fresh veggies compared to her pellets. Bah

Owh, haha. cos when i bought one got 'male' parts, the other seems to be erm... flat. And even the lady said one male one female, i bought it from the dingy pet stall at KL Sentral underpass last time cos i pitied them under the hot sun! And was kept in a small bird cage, they can barely move around. Now all the stalls demolish dy. Still happy i bought them though

QUOTE(Juztiny @ Feb 22 2010, 12:20 AM) Well..no worries, my dogs bark everyday, so all my gps and bunnies are get used to the noisy environment. When i had my other GP (i used to have 2, one died already), i had a dog too (also died last year due to old age, 13.5 years These days when it's raining thunderstorm, my dad will make sure the other surviving GP doesnt get scared shitless. |

QUOTE(Juztiny @ Feb 23 2010, 12:32 AM) Hmm....my GPs are housed outside some more....last night also got lots of fire works nearby until 3am. This morning my car was fulled of firework ashes...luckily my GPs and bunnies are all ok wor.... So far my GPs bonded with me quite well and the surviving GP is allowed to roam around the house sometimes. I guess it's how you interact with them Btw, I do not provide hide-out for my GPs, they all are forced to get use to the environment. One thing I observed is, if you provide hide-out space for your GPs, they will forever scare and won't bond with you. Hehehe...my gps and rabbits are not afraid of my dogs. One of my dogs can open the GP cage door and eat up their food or their poos. I think my GPs get used to this crazy monster. |

Sorry to hear about your GP. Take it as a lesson, treat the next one with more caution.
My GPs have never paid a visit to the vets, i used to have 2 GPs. Now left 1, she (actually male lai de, but late bloomer, but so used to calling him a female!) is 3 years old this month! The other died last year, 2 yrs old |
