hmm any idea for the C&C base coz i build one already and it seems empty and i dont wish to use the wood shavings bedding. By the way anyone who wish to build their c&c the cubes or grid can be purchased at 100yen store, search the web for their branches.

They are plastic not heavy but very durable and cost rm4.90 per piece 10 x 16 inches.

bbq grills are heavy this plastic is kinda light and doesnt rust anyway is an option for other owners to decide since there are few choices but both of them are way cheaper than owning a default pet store cage.

It only cost me around rm55 for the entire c&c cage whereby this size in pet store cages cost around rm 188 or more.

I wondered if those local flowery hay that sold in square packets (can be found in almost all pet shop, old shop specifically) are good for guinea pigs? They were some cheap local hay I guess. The thing is that they have its smell which is different from branded hay. So..?
i thought only timothy and alfafa hay are consumable to guinea pigs i saw those two hay also at pet store but i did not try to buy them

uhm wanna ask how to calm a female guinea pig ? i just bought her back around 1mths old+ she very shy and scared as if living in fears. I tried petting her carrying her and even give her a nice warm water bathe n wrapping her in towels after drying her up. But she still seems very scared of her surrounding and doesnt even want to come out from the house i made for her until i need to carry her out and put her near the food only she stays eating and goes back in the house after that.

Try feeding them something like vegs manually with your hand then at the same time keep repeating her names, persuading to come to you. smile.gif

haha dellfy looks like shy shy, hide under the cloth there  rclxms.gif waa bluffy color so nice...~~!
nicknicknick >>GP being scared of you at the beginning is normal...i face the same prob when i bring back Alice my Sheltie..even hear my footsteps only she already jump and scared like hell...made me worry like hell too... sweat.gif

just give the gurl time, she will adapt...trying to bond with her too quickly without letting her get use to her new environment will only cause her stress. relax ya, let her alone for 2-3 days, and remove the house from her cage after that 2-3 days. all my gp i dun give house d, to train them to be used to human passing by and surrounding sound. tht way they will be less frightened and mush mush more friendly.even if i put back the house oso they will push push till terbalik lol~! my gps even greet me everytime i went home from work...wheek wheek and reach out for food..XD

most importantly, dun give up, and give her time...good luck~!

Just a suggestion, i wouldnt put that artificial grass in there. In case she decides to swallow it, it can lead to complications of the stomach. Because GPs explore everything with their mouth tongue.gif

she dont really eat them just chew them off the mat and leave it there...but then is really nice coz they actually shit on it and easily taken care coz it will drop down into the newspaper

Haha no, Misty is still a little nervous and jumpy. Whenever I come by her cage she'll run back into her little hideout. However, once I have her on my lap and softly petting her, she starts squeaking softly and very occasionally purr smile.gif.

I think in time she'll learn to recognize me.  biggrin.gif

is a sign when guinea pig are contented and relaxing. sometimes u can even hear a longer brrrrr is another sign when they are expressing their interest the way u scrub their body hahaha...

i dun really use fleece but i use felt i think is about the same tho they dry out immediately after u twist them but is just for their comfort only coz they are well toilet trained for my case they only pee n poo at the toilet xp xp
