i too notice about this. at my bf's house's gps, i got give them a shelter since they were young and at my house's gps, i don't give them shelter. I will only make sure they got shade from outside and no contact to the rain if raining. And i notice that the gps at my house are more brave than the gp at my bf's house. Especially when bathing them. When i wan to bath the gps at my bf's house wan, they will keep shake shake, no matter how often i bath them but in the other hand, at my house gps don't shake at all, sometime i even thought they are dead because they don't struggle at all when i bathing them . They get use of the environment where my dogs and cats use to pass by everyday. and my bf's house don't have dogs and only have stray cats (very little).

So in the end, i only put hide out for my gps when it's play time. Especially those hideout that can pass through. they loves to run around the hideout

just now i took a video on how i cuddle my 2 gps. they are so adorable and very tame. not scare with human at all. Oreo (black and white gp) loves aggresive cuddle... RAWWRR... while maruko loves soft cuddle.

P/S: Maruko makes alot of sounds when cuddling cuz maybe i'm not soft enough hehe >.< .... while Oreo loves it so much until he looks like dead @.@

my gp get dirty so fast @.@ the last time i bath them is on 13th. Ytd night i saw their body so dirty >.< So many poo poo on their fur, especially the white peru... i dunno how she did it lol!

1st thing is, does ur cage have metal base like the normal cage we have? If have than i suggest u use floor mat. If u can put bedding on the pad for better absorbent. If ur cage is without a metal base, than you can put bedding on without floor mat. but need to change the bedding more often than using floor mat lar

if the ground floor is plastic, than u just put bedding lor. coz if u put floor mat again, the poo will bertimbun there and they will step on the poo poo lor. first floor and 2nd floor can put mat. about the ground floor, have to ask others opinion too. Coz i never get a cage like urs b4 hehe.

Added on February 24, 2010, 11:53 pmToday one of my gp, the white Peru from Juztiny got sick. She's having weight loss and getting thinner and thinner and have wet chin. Expected that she's having diarrhea because her butt there got alot poo and pee stain. Din't notice the newspaper because my maid change it before i have the chance to see the poo. Just now force feed her using the oxbow critical care. Hope she's fine tmr. She looked very week just now, but after force feed her, she got abit energy back and can walk abit. before that, she's just sitting there without a movement

No, i feed them very little vege. Sometimes only 2-3 times a week. Each time i give is half of carrot. sometimes i give cucumber. This morning i look at her and she still look very weak like last night. Sit there and din't move at all. And again, i force feed her again this morning. She can hardly eat the critical care..... i had a bad feeling about this . I notice the brindle peru also got abit wet chin, but he's still in a good shape. But he also don't eat his pallets and I was worried so i gave the brindle some critical care too before he gets serious like this white 1. Luckily he swallow all the care i gave him. He should be fine. But don't know about the white 1 really really hope she can make it.
