May i ask a question?

I live in Indonesia. On July 6th, i am going to KL for transit to go to Shanghai the next day.
I wonder, should i buy in KL or Shanghai?
Is HTC Desire being officially launched in Malaysia?

RM 2100 is AP, right? Does it mean that the phone come originally from other country?
I really still don't know for sure about AP and original.. Could anyone explain it to me?

Where should i buy offline when visiting KL? Plaza Low Yat Bukit Bintang?
What store?

Thank you..

What is ROOT for? Is it to make the phone can save applications on the memory card? I heard the latest Android OS making it possible to do it without ROOT.

Root is mainly to enable admin access so you can do whatever you want like installing applications onto memory card. Rumor has it that Android 2.2 aka Froyo may have this capability built in. But this is unconfirmed. Froyo seems to focus more on enabling Flash 10 than other implementations.

So if i want to do ROOT, then i should get the AP since the guarantee will be burn once i ROOT, doesn't it?
Correct me if i am wrong...

AP is supposed to be cheaper than Ori, right?

AP is usually cheaper than Original but their price is not stable at the moment due to a lot of price speculation for the original SiS set. The risk is that you commit on AP today and then AP price drop further in the future. Worse is that the price you paid is near SiS price.

If you root your phone, doesn't matter AP or original, you may lose warranty support.

I see..

So, i better buy AP than SiS since i want to root it BUT after the SiS launch HTC Desire for price stability...

Thank you... smile.gif
