Just to let U all know, clove.co.uk didnt provide any document for you to claim back yr VAT if U decided to send to UK/EU.

They stated very clearly in their FAQ:
"Can I get a tax redemption for use at airports?

As an online mail order company, operating in the UK we can NOT supply a VAT/Tax redemption form even if you can prove to us that your country of residence is outside the UK."

Without the VAT/Tax redemption form, there is no way U can claim back the 17.5%VAT even U are a genuine tourist.

first of all,you wont get charge any VAT if you import or buy it back to malaysia but malaysia will charge u tax,etc

I was actually refer to whatsayyou's plan to ask his bro to bring back from sweden with the assumption he purchase from clove.co.uk and ship to his bro.

But what U stated is correct. Clove.co.uk ship to non UK/EU will not have any VAT incur.

I still prefer Nexus one.
Coz of lot of custom rom and kernel available.
With A2DP out from froyo, extra ram on Desire no longer a advantage point. tongue.gif
Any new OS update also, Nexus one will be the first to taste it.. Yum Yum..

nexus price still maintain on 2200, mayb d until a stable value level, drop also very slow..
for those whose dun like the trackball can go for desire's optical trackpad..
BOTH ALSO NICE  thumbup.gif

I think Android OS hardly utilize the trackball/trackpad rite?
So this might not be a solid comparison point to choose between Nexus and Desire.
I might be wrong. Still newbie to Android OS

If want implement Android Froyo 2.2

Goggle Nexus One < Google [Faster]
HTC Desire < HTC < Google [Need wait Google]

is not google that control the OS implementation on manufacturer's handset. It is manufacturer that had the say to implement latest OS into their line of product or not.
From the history, the pace for them to implement new OS will not be fast.

i think the AP price is stable for 2050 now..
may drop may up ... hard to said~
*
Your view might not be that "neutral" especially on the pricing. Coz U are phone seller. No offend taken ya?

My 2 cent is AP will drop below RM2k very soon due to HTC Singapore SRP is S$898 (Around RM2110). Some other mobile retailer in Sin are also selling Agent set below the SRP.
AP importer here are taking advance on the early adopter tht wan to get the phone fast.

I bet AP set price in MY will be more attractive in the coming 2-3 weeks. smile.gif

Update: Seem like Singapore "export set" is selling S$700 (around 1650RM) now at 1 of the Sin online store.....this look interesting drool.gif drool.gif drool.gif . But bear in mind export set dun have warranty even from that online shop

Hi faizpsp89,

When you say yes we can upgrade the Android OS, does that mean that all buyers are allowed to freely upgrade their OS without voiding warranty?

Sorry, one more noob question, what is rooting? Is it upgrading Android OS?
*
Yes. Android OS upgrade is free. BUT, it depend on the manufacturer to launch it version of upgrade ROM.

HTC are famous for taking loooong lead time to upgrade Android OS. Best example is HTC HERO OS2.1 upgrade.

nexus more smothess compare desire.....

why ya????

now still confuse to chose.... desire or nexus
*
Froyo (2.2) + Flash 10.1 beta on Nexus beat the crap out of Desire Eclair 2.1 + Flash lite

That is the reason. smile.gif

Glad U come back to yr senses. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif
I at Melaka. Brought a lot of things here. Mostly from KL. For expensive items, normally I will ask friends to COD for me and post to me later.

If I cant find someone to COD even it is a very good deal. I will not buy it. Dun want to regret later if bad thing happen.
