Can HTC Desire connect to TV and play DivX/avi/etc videos just like the EVO 4G?

Hi guys

If I purchase a Desire here in Malaysia, will I be able to use it(3G) in the U.S, Canada or Australia?

Just got my AP desire today.

How much RAM/memory are you guys left when you use taskiller?

And in running services.

My bottom says:

Avail: 94MB+0.00B in 31    Other: 0.00B in 5

While a friend on Nexus 1 has this
avail: 142MB+129MB in 14
other: 51MB in 3

I think task killer can actually do more harm than good if it is running in the background. Not sure if it is true.

Why not consider this way to get the Desire 'without' the contract
Buy the phone at 1499 and sign up for the 12-month contract.
Then just pay for the first month(50+58), cancel the contract and pay a penalty of rm500. In total it's just about rm2100. icon_rolleyes.gif

i dun think it is a good option.  Why not be contracted since the phone will definately need a data plan to fully utilised it 24 hours.  biggrin.gif   The choice to me is either get it contracted under Maxis or Digi.  imho, buying it at retail price is silly (no offense intended).   The only reason i can think of to get at retail price is becoz you already stuck with a contract now.

Nah, it's because I have to leave to Canada this September. I cant signed any of the contracts shakehead.gif
But anyway, the contract plan is a good deal indeed.

I asked the maxis staff and he said the penalty is rm500. So I think it's possible. laugh.gif
