slightly metalic, but clear. much better than other phones i've used (legend).

Using the A8181 (fatt yat fatt yat) since mid-april, and the only complaints i have since purchase are :-

1) battery lifespan is 2 days max (after using Power Widget, turning off the Mobile Internet when unused, setting the brightness to min during night and auto during day)

2) sunlight legitability isn't too bad although it could be better. try not to use the matte screen protectors (like what i'm using) if you feel your screen isn't clear enough during day

3) heat generation is high particularly during charging, using the gps or playing games / net surfing after an extended duration i.e. 1 hour (i didnt notice my friends Nexus 1 creating so much heat when both of us were playing AS2 Lite)

I'm prolly a very fussy user but I can say this phone is here to stay. The UI is great, functions are rich, design is superb and the issues are not hindering my day-2-day tasks as there are various workarounds available.

Hopefully Frozen Yoghurt could resolve some of the issues, particularly issue 1.

PS :- And yes, when you first get your hands on your Desire, goto "All Programs > Market > Search (icon) > Toss It". Download this game & play the 6th game (on the second page) mode. It just depicts the simple reality :-))

@Gurdian, that's my 1st thought too!

i might want to wait for the accessories (casing, screen protector, etc.) before buying the unit.
