QUOTE(ellimist @ Sep 23 2009, 10:22 AM) @vin_ann : thanks ... then i'll make a call to convert my card ... since im using this cc solely for petrol ... their rebate system is acceptable for me Haha yea, doubt the card will be useful for you; the discounts will end up being minimal anyways in terms of RM saved (since movie tickets don't cost a bomb) @santaclaus : The rebate is used against future Shell petrol purchases. You'll need to accumulate rebates till the "minimum treshold", then the card will automatically use the rebate on the future purchases. Say you get a rebate of RM1 each time around, you'll need to go the pump 20 times, and on the 21st time it'll set off RM20 against your petrol purchase. There's also a max rebate amount (including the cash rebates you get back on ur regular purchase, at 0.75% I think) which is RM1k for the gold card, and RM500 for the classic card |

QUOTE(Optiplex330 @ Sep 23 2009, 10:33 AM) Why bother. Just go get a AMEX Gold credit card and no such confusing rebate system. All petrol purchased are given points that can be converted to cash rebate. Work out about 2.5% cash rebate. As for any other non-petrol purchase, it is equivalent of 1% cash rebate. yeah , i knew amex gold cc is better , but all my current cc is less than 1 year in possession .... those more than 1 year are canceled ... the last 1 had been used to apply liao but tht sales din submit for me Only problem is, some places don't accept AMEX. Added on September 23, 2009, 10:35 am My many many years ago problem with Malaysian card being rejected was also being used online. But for past few years when using Malaysian card overseas in UK, Thailand, Indonesia and China, no problem whatsoever. if wanna apply now , they will ask for income documents blablabla rite??? too troublesome la .... already called citibank platinum line 2x , citiphone 1x .... no 1 answer my call ... stil cuti raya ar???? services getting worse liao |

citibank working speed i think now can compare with Maybank liao ....
i request for a conversion from citi plat to citi shell gold 1 mth ago ... the first time i fax over the form , they lost it ... then i fax in again , this time they got it n said will b processed within 2 weeks .... today since its already 3 weeks , i called up to check n they say stil in process now all downgrade liao onli left 1 plat cc but wat i realised is most better benefir n rebates doesnt come with plat cc ... especially citi plat lo ... the cs keep askin me "do u want to downgrade since the plat is a more prestigious cc?" then i said i got rebate from a gold card n nothing from ur citi plat ... so the cs say he will expedite the process ( which is way over the stipulated time frame ) ........ n mbb stil havent got my amex gold cc submission eventhou already 2 mths |

QUOTE(betatestar1 @ Oct 27 2009, 10:33 AM) guys, i think there is a bit confusion here. i was told by one of my manager that we shouldn't cancel off all the cards first before reading or finding out the terms and condition applied on this rm50 issues. i think u get it wrong on the "renew" term ... it means tht next year u will kena the rm50 tax when the annual cycle finished ... look at your card which stated since 10/09 .... means u will hafta pay your annual fee every oct on the coming years ... since u already been given a FFL cc so the service tax will charged to ur cc on tht particular mth .... He said he was listening to 9.88 myfm after the budget was announced. One of the tax exemption expert said that rm50 tax commence on January 1st of 2010, so whoever "apply" or "renew" their credit card starting next year will be charged rm50 per card. So lets say i got 4 existing cards and the expiry date is on 2014. Because i did not apply or renew my card on next year,2011,2012,2013, so i do not need to pay the tax for the 4 existing cards which are going to expire on 2014. Let say it is 2014 now, 4 of my existing cards are expiring and i made my decision to renew all the 4 card so at that time i will be charged rm200 for the 4 cards. Hmm, this is the explanation given by him to me not sure correct or wrong. I do not have any source on this and You guys should go and find out the truth based on real facts. gl man. it doesnt charge every cc on the 1st of january but definitely latest by the 12th month of the cc annual cycle .... if they onli charge when u change a new card ... everyone will call up the banks n asked for a new card now liao .... |

i dun think citibank approve cc fast nowadays ... they called me up to offer me a plat ... but stil takes 3 weeks or more for the card to reach me .... now i wanna convert to shell citibank gold n its been 1 month they still say processing
the rm50 tax stil doesnt tell us whether its charge on 1st jan 2010 or on our card expiry date? mayb the BNM purposely delay their final decision until late dec09 so tht majority ppl couldnt cancel their cc on time? |
