QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Sep 18 2009, 09:59 PM) What are you talking about ? AMEX Gold credit card is free for life, just like CIMB Mastercard. With absolute no minimum swipe. He's most likely referring to the charge card, but it is free for first 3 years, not that short period of time.

QUOTE(hye @ Oct 23 2009, 07:25 PM) The new ruling on credit card is not new. It first debuted back in the early 2000 when DPM Anwar was the Finance Minister. (So those wanting to change govt ... reconsider lah coz look lah who introduced it back then) Anwar was sacked by Mahathir in September 1998, the Finance Minister 1 in 2000 was Daim Zainuddin. http://www2.treasury.gov.my/index.php?opti...mid=154&lang=my

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Nov 4 2009, 07:14 PM) 2x MR points for all AMEX range of cards except AMEX Gold credit card and Maybank Islamic Ikhwan AMEX. These two cards will give you 5x MR/TP points instead. However please note that most Petronas stations and all BHP stations do not accept AMEX. A lot of BHP stations in Klang Valley (no idea about outside) do accept Amex but not at the pump. You need to go to the counter, same as Petronas (for those which do accept). You can check by looking for the Amex logo next to the door to the shop.

Quite a number of other budget airlines (Ryanair, Easyjet, etc) publicly charges for e-payment, don't think Visa/MC really disallows it.

QUOTE(jasonkwk @ Nov 10 2009, 05:06 PM) why when u use CC at petrol station to pump petrol, they will deduct RM200 from your credit limit, regardless of how much spend at the petrol station(assuming u did not spend more than 200 at the pump station) This is only true for swiping at the pump, in case users wants to pump more than the allowed credit limit. The exact amount held depends on the bank/card. Once the transaction is completed, the hold will be released and the actual amount charged. This will not happen if you swipe for an exact amount in the counter.

Yes, Flex is eligible for Ezypay. MBB (besides the CS part) works hard for their CC biz, they have cards which target just about every possible segment of the MY market. I'm someone with 6 MBB CC's who will be cancelling 4 with a somewhat heavy heart.

QUOTE(hye @ Nov 29 2009, 09:48 PM) Bro ... MBB Visa Flex is a debit card, wrong section to ask this question. All debit cards (irrespective of bank origin) cannot do EZPay. MBB Visa Flex is a credit card and is eligible for Ezypay.
