Guys, what's the meaning of 'Claw Back Int'?
It appears on my statement as 'Claw Back Int for Pymnt is 7.29'
I'm sure 'Int' is interest and 'Pymnt' is payment..

Need some counsel from cc gurus here.

Here's my situation.

Last month's charges for my cc:
RM1441.08

Due date: 28 Sept 09

I paid: RM1000 on 28 Sept 09 around 8PM.
Outstanding: RM441.08

Around 5 days later, I found out from my online statement that I was charged for late payment. I called the cs and told them that I already paid via the cash deposit machine and I have the slip to prove it, and the CS told me I'd have to make a report at that particular branch. I was also told that the late payment charge will be waived once they've confirmed the payment.
So I went to the said branch and to cut a story short they finally acknowledge my payment. (debit reversal)

This month's statement is out, and I see these 2 charges:
Late payment charge: RM13.80
Finance charge - 16%: = RM22.27

I called up their CS, and was told that the late payment charge will be reflected in my next statement. I'm fine with that.

I asked for a revised finance charge (since the current one is based on non payment) and was offered a full waiver instead if I settle my outstanding balance in full.
(Just for the record, I've always paid on time, and this is only the second time I didn't pay in full)

The closing balance for this month's statement is RM2171.42 (the RM1000 I paid is not reflected).
I forgot to ask the CS about this but does it mean I only have to pay RM1171.42? (this includes late payment and finance charge)
And is the offer by the CS plausible?

Well when I told the CS that I paid on the due date itself, he didn't say anything about paying before, he just said there's no record of the payment. Based on that I think we can conclude that paying on the due date does not constitute as late payment?

hi all,

was just browsing through the eon credit cards and noticed something which resembles a personal loan or the procedure where a shop *ahem* gives you cash when you charge to your credit card with some fees.

for the 3 years payment plan it seems to be charging around 5% per year and this seems a lot lower than the standard personal loan of 9-12%.

source

any catch in this thing?
