Hi all, just got my DA statement today and it comes with DA application form. I can see in the form there state income requirements for gold card is 24k p.a.

Guess CIMB has lowered down the income requirements of this card?

A photocopy of IC + 2 months of pay slips, shouldn't be a big issue for you, right? A lesson - do not apply for CCs, MBB in particular, from unknown sales agents. biggrin.gif
It is basically not a problem at all, using CCs issued by Malaysian local banks in overseas. In these recent 2 years for instance, I had swiped Alliance, HLB and DA CCs in China, India, UAE, Bahrain, UK, Belgium, Netherland, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam. The only exemption being rejection on DA in 2 different occations (different years) in Thailand. But these actually happened a few years back. smile.gif

From the maybank website, it also stated that BE form and latest 3 months' savings account activity/current account statements are required.

You need not provide ALL as mentioned. It's bullshit. smile.gif

Besides IC, you only need to provide a photocopy of your cc which is more than 12 months. If your existing cc is less than 1 year, you can then provide 2-month pay slips to support your application.

It is not recommended that you expose your other bank account details to Maybank. I ignored this when i helped my mom to apply for Maybank AMEX Gold and then Maybank Ikhwan VISA last time but still both credit cards were approved.

Not really. They will also check on if you have any existing mortgage or hire purchase just to check on your overall credit exposure. Your existing credit card might affect the final decision of the bank whether or not they will approve you a credit card.

Someone here have repeatedly saying that Public Bank declined his application for a VISA Platinum credit card which he later found out from someone else that Public Bank will not approve any credit card to anyone with 6 or more active credit cards.

No, its not me smile.gif . I apply for my CIMB card through an income documents. The credit cards that I apply through existing cards are Affin/Alliance/Bank Islam/HSBC & SCB. I used my existing CIMB & PB card as reference. Only Alliance reject me but I reapply by using income documents.

Now I just realised I have so many cards. shocking.gif . Just applying for AMEX GOLD CC.

Its only applicable to the DA line of cards ie. you need to be a graduate, otherwise its still RM30K to qualify for a CIMB Gold Card smile.gif

Bet in a few years time both classic and gold credit cards will become obsolete, just like the case in Singapore and USA.

Just a note, one will already qualify for Standard Chartered Gold credit card with an annual paycheck of no less than RM18,000 per annum.

Income requirement for plat cc becomes lower and lower. Just imagine, a person who earns RM5k monthly salary could now easily get an SCB plat cc with RM30k CL.
