Get HDMI and go 1080p. Dunno about the brightness levels, I'm a nub when it comes to that stuff.
I got stuck with an old model so I has to use component cables and display at shitty ol' 1080i, but it's still pretty okay. OH QUESTION FOR YOU SIFUS READING, WHAT'S THE BEST OPTION TO GET 1080P ON MY LCD TV!? IS IT OKAY TO GET VGA? WOULD IT BE AS STYLE AS HDMI!? BECAUSE MY XBOX HAS NO HDMI PORT |

QUOTE(trogdor1oh1 @ Dec 5 2009, 02:26 PM) Get HDMI and go 1080p. Dunno about the brightness levels, I'm a nub when it comes to that stuff. using a VGA cable for Xbox on a LCD would result almost similar as using HDMI cable, but u had to make sure your LCD TV could input display from Xbox. im using a 37" LG LCD TV for my PC + Xbox, it could get signal from my PC using VGA cable but there is no Signal from Xbox if i use the VGA cable. i could use HDMI cable but i dont want the audio comes out from my TV, in the end i use Component cable so that i could hook up my subwoofer directly. currently i can have audio from PC & Xbox sametime. Just a channel switch then i could browse this forum I got stuck with an old model so I has to use component cables and display at shitty ol' 1080i, but it's still pretty okay. Well I can get a signal from my laptop with VGA, but whenever I set it to a widescreen res, it would be squashed. It only knows how to accept 4:3 resolutions. Then it would stretch.

Aren't most games in 720p/1080i anyway?
If they are, there is no diff between setting the output to 1080p as the TV will upscale anyway. |

I hav an enquiry. I hav an acer 23inch lcd monitor with hdmi input. The monitor has a built in speaker. The sound quality is bad btw. So when i connect my xbox with hdmi, the sound is only frm the monitor's speaker. There is no other choice rite? Coz the monitor only hav a single audio input if im not mistaken. So to connect to some speakers, i hav to use vga cable. Is there any solution? if not i feel its a waste having this monitor.

so we just need to remove 1 side of the cover, then we can connect HDMI at the sametime as the AV connector for audio output? |
