I not very fond of those stock below $10, coz chances 25% up, 25% down & 50% tidur My roket stock pick for tahun harimau buy high & sell higher is great teori, coz there is no overhead resistance if it roket up & any pullback r good entry point, the deeper the better, provided fa is good from a new high of about 18.5, drop close to 50% ie. 9.25, any price betwn 9.25-10.25 is buying point now price is between 50dma & 200dma, nice adding point for speculative gamblers like me top up position, if comes to 11.04, pyramid upwards if price drops to 50dma & cut loss 8.50 any speculative gamblers out there, do hop by http://learn2earn8.blogspot.com remember momo takes time to add / exit position, they not as nimble as ikan bilis, learn to use advantage » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

QUOTE(miuk @ Mar 5 2010, 11:22 PM) got this link from "SULIFEISGREAT" some time ago. Thanks for the link! http://shortsqueeze.com/?symbol=stec&submit=Short+Quote%99 no prob, good to see u know how to use it & hav a fighting ikan bilis mindset those $10 stock got better chance for volatility & using chart can see it for a better perspective anyway, refer early nov09 gap down, notis the price when it moves up to resistance of $22, but can't break out now look at late feb10, resistance is around $13, if greedy, could hav put an exit there but as gamblers, imagine if the employment report was bad, things would go awry nice swing trade all roket buy high, sell higher is yummy wonder when can short them? would indexes give a clue depend on own profit / loss outlook, dun be overgreedy, support & resistance is a clue rough guide for capital, enter 1/3 position, another 1/3 await index pullback, another 1/3 ride on 50ma no pain, no gain |

QUOTE(miuk @ Mar 10 2010, 12:00 AM) Placing a buy to cover of at least 1/3 outstanding shorts now. Don't want to risk it that much. If LVS does hit 20, will try one more short. --------------------------------------------------------------- order cancelled. sharp drop in the dow. really not rekomen short lvs, if it break out above $20, the next resistance is $30 - buy high, sell higher concept in action again from sep09 to mar10, it had been sideways for so long, any short term trader would have exited alredi if holding, jus prepare to ride it up, if never ride b4, learn to, its fun! of coz, ensure got ur cut loss level ready in case shit happens frankly speaking, at the moment dun see anything to stop the roket / breakout trend |

QUOTE(epalbee3 @ Mar 10 2010, 08:01 AM) STEC down and HEAT up.. The conditions reversed in the mid-night.. Locked a lot in STEC liao.. Have to wait together with those who hold STEC high at 13.87.. train your patience... http://shortsqueeze.com/?symbol=STEC&submit=Short+Quote%99 There are about 43.81% percent of STEC is being shorted.. "momo" is playing.. congrats on ur trade in stec! if I gambled it, $13 enuf liao, look for other candidates the target of $17 is quite ambitious, it needs to clear $15, but as they say - no pain, no gain to tackle the emotional side of trading, use practical entry & exit points, no emotions involve, happy day trading! if not mistaken, the shortsqueeze data since is free, got time lag difference & use as a guidance, as u not using the paid subscription oso careful as heat may or may not do a double bottom for shakeout, furthermore indexes can pullback anytime when least expect it ensure have some capital in reserve to buy any dip |

QUOTE(danmooncake @ Mar 12 2010, 11:59 PM) I don't think the bulls can hold much longer. This market is pretty full now from over eating. otex & dog jones is creeping up Even good data from consumer confidence and feb retail sales not pushing it higher. I'm looking for at least a small pullback by next week. All we need is some scary news to push this down. We don't have that yet. We need the Anti-PPT team to help. Maybe China will do it. Hopefully, they'll issue an "intent" to raise rates or the US Fed signal "rates" hike soon. healthy pullback is required then can cover my shorts & get ready buy the dip dunno how long more to wait? |

QUOTE(danmooncake @ Mar 15 2010, 11:44 PM) After all these years, there is not a single day that I'm not learning from this crazy market and also humbled by it when it proves you wrong when it goes against you. Yes, above RSI: 70 to 90 would indicate overbought condition. For example: look at C last week. If the current price is between 20ema and 50ema, what's its trajectory? Upwards or downwards or sideways? Is it at the top of bollinger band? middle? or at the bottom? If it is at top, time to take some off. If it is bottom, perhaps scale a position, if it is middle, perhaps wait and see.. Pakcik! base on RSI / BB / 20&50ema, how would a hypothetical trade be for EL & OTEX? hold or avoid or short? wat does the reading says & was the signal trigger overbought way much earlier? I have dump most of those sophisticated TA analisis, which was taught from classes or courses attended & they did not teach abt FA "The promise of a high return has a funny way of clouding perception. 80% of retail traders use technical analysis. 95% of retail traders fail." |

haha! tis thread is going back to its old days of which brokerage to use, which better tools, comm & etc, stil very limited type of stocks in play
market up, u all complain - market down, u all complain - told u all buy high, sell higher liao mah there wil be days for dip buying, days for roket riding, days for longkang & I no idea when is next deeper pullback the last pullback of dow jones to 10k spook many, since int rate stil low, u all know wat to do la, when see pullback its earnings season, obama says health care wil not increase cost, yet many company announce hundred millions charge to their account tis is good for business, there is a cap limit to the number of employees, otherwise their health care cost increase further for company so jobless recovery is here to stay, less workers do more work means higher produktiviti, maybe better profit if u all do notis ur own stock posting within tis fortnight, those stock above $10 moves more than those sub $10 can tis thread go back to trading? I tolong a bit with charts, swing trade time as near support level, if crash further, cut loss lo |

11k is a nice number on everyone mind, some may want to short it (do exclude me)
those who miss the march correction want much further proof of bull, with capital stil at sideline, wat wil they do, wil greed rule? with int rate low, no sweat for market to propel higher than 11k but watch the earnings & barring any further unknown bad news (careful of bull shit) My view remains same, still dun see anything to stop the roket / breakout trend & dog jones still in a one way trend direction, with minor hiccups gambling roket position - I m lovin it, should it go to deeper longkang, cut loss lo |
