This 2010 World Cup is the dirtiest ever world cup.

Melo thoroughly deserved to be sent off for trying to stamp on Robben. Playacting or not, he shouldn't have done it. I loved how Fabiano rolled around at the slightest taps and then had the balls to mouth off to the referee who rightly ignored him. Serves him right for his shit-eating grin when he scored that handball goal.

Now I just need Germany to send Argentina out crashing so that someone can finally shut that self-righteous bag of fart Maradona who seem to can't stop saying stupid things to the press.

Props to Uruguay and Ghana, the match of the tournament thus far. Wasn't very clean, but the late drama made up for it.

People are mad not because of the actual hand-ball, they are mad because the foul was "only" punished by a penalty and a sending off. What do you expect the referee to do, award Ghana a goal? It is not in the rulebook. The only thing FIFA can do is probably tack on a lengthy suspension on Suarez for "unsportsmanlike behavior".

That is why it is wrong to be mad at Suarez. If anything, FIFA needs implement a drastic punishment for deliberately stopping a goal scoring. Goal scoring, not goal attempt. IE, the goalkeeper was already beaten.

Suarez knew the punishment would be a sending off and a penalty, possibly even no punishment if the match officials didn't see it. He knew the punishment and decided it was worth it. And he was right.

It's FIFA's duty to make sure such situations won't arise again. What about if a striker had defeated the defense, rounded the goalkeeper and made his shot towards the empty net but then all of a sudden a crazed fan ran into the pitch and stopped the ball from going in? What then?

i didnt argue about brasil's red card....melo deserved it for sure.....but what i meant was....i HATE BOOKIES decision on how WORLD CUP is going on.....remember france 98?? brasil played well throughout the tournament...but play like SHIT in FINALE....

BTW the story is that it was the advertisers and sponsors that pressured an ill Ronaldo to play in the finals of France '98, not the bookies.
