Alienware M17x i5 & i7 will be available in Malaysia in next 2 weeks. Any idea with the "throttling issue" are resolved?

Alienware ,about 2 to 3 weeks time. I got it within 2 weeks. The Dell Vostro v13 are delayed bcoz of the parts shortage, new delivery date is end of this month. Both are ordered on 31st Dec 2009

amunriel, Intel 820 QM is about RM1.1k in ebay

Got a call from Dell sales rep. He inform me that the m17x R2 with i5 & i7 will be online by tomorrow in www.dell.com.my

I got this from one of the e-mail when i enquire about the M11x :

"Alienware M11x is not available in South East Asia.
We are still working to bring in this model. "

I hope they will bring in the M11x coz M15x & M17x are very heavy !

I manage to request for an upgrade/exchange the current M17x Q9000 for the new M17x-R2 i7-820QM. As long as it's within 14 days of goods received. Now have to wait for the Malaysia Dell to update their webpage so that I can reconfigure the laptop.

Anyone manage to get the M17x to output audio thru SPDIF? i tested using optical & coaxial SPDIF it doesn't work..i was trying to output Dolby Digital & DTS to the external decoder.

Mr.Docter, as you had mention. Dell will take back my M17x, and they will send you brand new unit of M17x R2 with latest hardwares on my doorstep

i7 920XM on ebay is USD600 = RM2,056.80

NEBULA RED!! in USA is extra USD100 for this colour. We got it for free in Malaysia ! Silver are very common with Mac , Black are very common with the rest of the laptops in the market. Red stand out from the crowd !
