Wooooooooo Hooooooooooooo....

Dell just called me and said that they will be delivering my Dell Alienware m11x next Wednesday (17 Feb). Damn, but I am outstation during that time, so I ask them to send next Saturday, instead sad.gif

Really really anticipating the invasion. I bought

SU7300
Genuine Windows® 7 Ultimate 64bit
4GB Dual-channel 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM (2 x 2GB)
500GB
3 Years Complete Cover

AND

Dell™ Alienware OptX AW2210 with 5 years warranty.

Very excited.

It's probably the confirmation of purchase call that I received as well. The person on the other side is disconnected from Dell Malaysia, which explains his early estimation date. Call center manned from India I think.

Cancel or soldier on? hmm.gif

soldier on, mate. most of those in the States who ordered on the first day of launch are getting EDDs in March as well.

on another note, i am getting contradicting updates info from both my customer care officer and sales rep.

as some of know might noticed, i had posted about the battery shortage affecting my order and the EDD was flipped to unknown status 2 days ago.

and today, here's what i get from the customer care:

Meanwhile for the Alienware, 3928103 it is also might be at last stage of production in which I have just checked our production report and glad to inform you that your order is excluded from the “delayed orders which are due to part-shortage” list. And should the order is but and transited to forwarder within next week, you might be contacted by the forwarder for delivery appointment in due course.

ain't gonna be too optimistic about it. still gonna stick to my end Feb/early March assumption. gonna take it as a bonus if i were to receive it by end of next week. smile.gif

LOL and Im not an Alienware fan? Check version 1. Check owner number 1. Besides Dered who had his m9750 ordered from the USA, I'm a FAN enough to purchaese it while everybody else were rolling around with their boring XPSes. Then followed by PhantomThief, whom I believe grew weary of the whole Alienware scene here after not much response from others who only a FAN enough to play the "wait-b-see" game until Dell bought Alienware and make it finally available to you lot.

So yup, apparently Im not a fan enough. rolleyes.gif Or does being a fan makes it a sin to complain about a brand you love, because if everybody just pats everybody else's shoulder and pretend nothing's wrong, this whole "tidak apa" attitude will never change. And here I thought improvement comes from feedbacks, be it complimentary or critical like mine. rolleyes.gif

string, i do know it's not possible to check EDDs via the online tracking site. but now even the SA refuse to provide you with an EDD? that's absurd. even if it's a date in March, at least you're informed. i feel you.

hello dude?? did we get furious for ur first few complains? ur being too much.

whats the point of complaining here??? u just tell me, complain and give feedback here got any effect on ur order???

oh my..... i think ur a pms-ing person.  mayb u are?
i just don udnerstand, why are u making such a fuss over small problems.  u see others, did anyone complain SO MUCH as u did?

just answer me, what can we do here? help u f*** dell? well, even if i want, the others will give u a HELL NO answer.

whats the point?? just tell me. if u not happy, pls i suggest u cancel ur order. show them ur the boss, u do the talkin and ur the one who pay, u can cancel it. threaten them, not here k? we cant help u.

we are not here to comfort u all the time.  not here to tell u sweet stuffs and ask u sabar.  we are not ur psychiatrist. we just wanna discuss alienware.

if u not happy, u can say here, but don say it everyday and repeating the same thing again and again.

mate, before all these turns into some ugly situation, there's no need for those words. string has plenty of experience with being the first on gadgets launches (if you bother to read about his past experience) and there's nothing wrong with having expectations.

the point is, if Dell did state it's a pre-order, many wouldn't be expecting so much. since they did not, many are looking at "Dell orders ship 5-8 working days under normal circumstances".

and lastly, he's merely sharing his frustration about his situation. you're not obliged to reply.
