I'm having a problem while hosting a dota game. My ping tends to go above 200ms when i start to host. All players will experience lags. When i join someone's game, its smooth. My ping is only 30ms and it stays constant throughout the game. Does anyone have any idea why does the ping goes so high while I host? Any solution to this? Previously i have no problem hosting. Its just recently and I have no idea why.

When you host, your connection needs to handle more traffic than compared to when you join another person's game. Thus, if there's other activities that's consuming bandwidth or if your router/modem has been on for a long period of time; sometimes this might cause the router to perform less efficiently.

So, if you have other downloads going on... then try stopping them.
Also, try to power cycle your router/modem (physically turning it off and on again).

Not work for "GG", but work on bettlenet.

Btw, try to shutdown your antivirus, windows update and so on...
